TWENTY-FOUR CONTEMPORARY PIECES FOR SOLO PIANO PIANO

This and the previous book (easier pieces) are both very good and worth the money. I’m an intermediate level player and most of the pieces in both books are within my reach, with some focused work of course. A few selections are too complex and lengthy, but the rest are interesting and rewarding to learn and play. These pieces are a refreshing change from the standard classical canon for mid-level players.

Wie man 550 Jahre später immer noch Noten so binden kann, dass man eine Dampfwalze bräuchte, damit die Noten aufgeschlagen auf dem Notenpult liegen bleiben, ist mir völlig unbegreiflich. Die Musik ist gut, das Notenbild gut lesbar - aber die Bindung ist so unterirdisch dass man nur 1 Stern vergeben kann. Für einen praktizierenden Pianisten allenfalls als Kopiervorlage zu gebrauchen.

No Chords on The Sheet Or Piece

There are about 7 of the pieces which can be played by beginner to intermediate player (like myself, although I can't sight read so have to write the notes on the page). Some are like film soundtracks, some are pretty melodies which sound quite melancholic and atmospheric. There are several which are very complex with odd or different timings for each hand which I found too difficult. Most of the tracks can be sources on Spotify so you have an idea of how they should sound however there are a few which aren't. Nice large book so easy to read. A good present for solo pianists.
