Met deze adapter lukte het mij om een M.2 NVMe SSD uit een gecrashte laptop toch te kunnen uitlezen via USB. Top product.

Goede behuizing voor SSD NVMe disk. Koelt ook redelijk, maar misschien niet bruikbaar voor disk die erg warm wordt.

Nice item. overpriced for the purpose

The assembly was a bit more difficult than “stick it in, done.” The silicone ‘enclosure’ came separate and it took me a while to figure out how to get the plastic seat for the drive out of the aluminium. Then I couldn’t really figure out how to place the thermal sticker on the drive and slide it in – because I thought it would be difficult. It wasn’t. The silicone… a word that starts with ‘condo’ comes to mind… that one was difficult.Once I put it all together, though, I am pleased. Not only does it do what it should, which I’ve had problems with recently when buying electronics, but the rubber actually has a function – when the enclosure is placed on the desk, it is slightly elevated to allow slightly better cooling. With the NVMe drives slightly better cooling is always a good thing. The speed is as advertised. And it’s very nice to have a Carbon Copy Cloner drive that backs up 4 GB within 4 seconds!

I didn't really know what to expect. Had an M.2 NVME drive without use for it anymore as I upgraded to a larger and faster one. Thought I'd check and see if I can make an external drive out of it. And found it to be possible.Bought me the Ugreen M.2 NVME enclosure. Arrived the day after ordering it. Putting it together was a piece of cake. And now I have one solid external 500 GB SSD drive. The rubber sleeve is for fall protection and works very well.The enclosure has a USB C 3.2 gen. 2 connection which makes this the fastest external drive I own. By far. Mind you, you only get the maximum speed by connecting it to a USB C 3.2 gen 2 port.I have zero regrets buying this drive. This is a happy customer.I was already familiar with Ugreen because of a set of Ugreen bluetooth earbuds I own and I'm happy with those too.So if you have an unused M.2 NVME drive lying around, buy this.Mind you, if you have an M.2 SATA SSD then you need to find another type. Ugreen has these as well. The connections are not the same.

I have an older version of this exact product, and it works great, but this new version? I spent literally a minute fighting with the little plastic M.2 retaining tab every time I tried to insert a drive. It's harder, different in shape, I don't know what it is, but it just won't stay in your hand. What a failure in product revision and basic ergonomics.

Bastará con quitar la goma de sujección e introducirla en el orificio correspondiente a nuestro disco a instalar (cuatro tamaños distintos) y girar la goma sobre sí misma para mantener el disco en su posición.

Utilisé avec un Samsung 970 EVO de 2 To, connu pour ses températures excessives, il fait parfaitement son travail. Le montage est très aisé et ne nécessite aucun outil ! Pour éviter les températures élevées, j'ai utilisé un Thermal Grizzly Minus découpé : plus aucun problème de surchauffe même lors de copies intensives. Ce boîtier est aussi reconnu sur d'anciennes configurations (même en USB 2.0, ce qui est trèèèès lent !)Update : finalement, j'ai remplacé le Samsung par un Crucial de 4 To qui malheureusement montait en température (90°C) dans le boîtier. J'ai trouvé une solution : installer un dissipateur thermique en métal directement dans le boîtier. Le résultat fut incroyable ! Température maximale enregistrée : 63°C. Température moyenne : 45°C pour la sonde n°1 et 55°C pour la n°2.Au niveau du montage : j'ai déposé le dissipateur et son pad thermique sur le disque directement dans le boîtier. Il n'y a pas de fixation. En poussant délicatement, ça rendre parfaitement même si le dessus du dissipateur frotte très légèrement). Le tout tient très bien en place à l'intérieur du boîtier (même en cas de chute ou de manipulation brusque). Je conseillerai de ne faire cela que pour un disque amené à rester définitivement dans le boîtier. Ne le faites pas si vous envisagez d'utiliser votre boîtier en guise de lecteur où vous changez régulièrement de disque.C'est une utilisation un peu "spéciale" mais peut-être que ça aidera d'autres personnes :-)P.S. : Les taux de copie diffèrent entre PC sous Windows, MAC et Linux mais c'est le boîtier qui offre la vitesse la plus élevée que je possède jusqu'à présent.

I wanted to install windows to my laptop in addition to linux. As my laptop did not have two nvme slots and I do not want to install both on one physical drive. I use it as a portable boot drive to boot windows 11 whenever required. Performance is excellent as described.
