Productbeschrijving

Het Basham Race Vest is ontworpen volgens de specificaties van professionele Ultrarunner Amanda Basham. Ze had zeer specifieke eisen omdat het pakket moest kunnen aanpakken enkele van de meest prestigieuze races. Het bepalende kenmerk van Basham is de ongelooflijk kleine voetafdruk, die het gewicht vermindert en de warmteafvoer verhoogt. Ondanks zijn grootte kan hij tot 2 flessen en andere accessoires meenemen. Dit pakket bevat een UltraFlask 550 Hybrid Bottle die horizontaal in het geïsoleerde compartiment past en ruimte heeft voor een alternatieve fles in de bovenste snelle opbergzak. De snelle opbergzak is opgebouwd uit 4-weg stretch mesh voor maximale capaciteit en is voorzien van een magnetische sluiting om de inhoud veilig en toch toegankelijk te houden. Bovenop het geïsoleerde flessencompartiment bevindt zich een extra snel opbergvak. Dit extra buitenvak blijft functioneel, zelfs als de binnenzak vol is. Dit pakket is voorzien van ons nieuwe UltrAcool Light Mesh. De schouderbanden van dit pakket zijn smal, hebben onderweg toegankelijke zakken en kunnen een grote mobiele telefoon dragen. Aanpassingsbandjes zorgen voor een perfecte pasvorm. Eén maat past de meeste.

I don't like the bottle supplied with the belt due to the plastic smell and taste, so I substituted a round bottle that fit the back pouch. Otherwise it is well made and works great. For running, it's way better than the water bottle belt I was using.

The side straps are long and smack you when you run and there’s no way to secure them. The back pouch also dug into my back. Otherwise, I really like how light weight it is, and I like the style, the color, and the pockets.

I don’t really like this vest. The color is pretty. However the water bottle is junk, it leaks. The vest has a hard plastic insert which holds the bottom water bottle. Not only does it dig into my back, but the bottle falls out of the holder when you’re running. Both bottles are difficult to access. So I’ve used it with only the top water bottle. But there’s not really any other function for the hard plastic insert on the bottom of the vest, which is intended to hold the second bottle. I would recommend skipping this vest. I have the Salomon Adv. skin 12 and I love it, but it’s an XS and I’m not anymore. This vest was a really sorry replacement attempt.

At a recent 20 mile trail race, I passed another racer with this vest on and we bonded over what a great vest this is considering the weight. I add another bottle to the upper back pocket if it’s going to be a long run and not a race with aid stations. Love.

Am happy with this, able to carry my phone, pepper spray, hydration and snacks on the trail or long runs. Mine DID come with one bottle which I was unaware that it would. Nice surprise!
