This holder is so cute! I don't know that it's worth $20 but I like the uniqueness, so had to buy it. It's sturdy and does the job. I've always held the top of a paper towel holder when tearing off a sheet but I did try doing it single-handedly. It will tear off without it tipping, but if you don't do it at the right angle/spot, then it will tear only the top half of the sheet, because of the way his arm catches on it. I'm not sure if it will hold extra large rolls. I don't recall what kind of paper towel I bought, so I measured the thickness for reference. It's 2 inches and fits right up to the end of the guy. Nice powder coat on it to prevent scratches. I wish the base was a little heavier so it stays in place more when you try to rip the paper towel. Overall I am satisfied.

It looks cute and it's sturdy but I'm not sure why it's so tall. So I'll never find a paper towel that fits.
