I bought the white thread to dye. Did the dye test earlier and it took the dye beautifully.

Good value embroidery thread.

I could not give this five stars in any category.This thread is supposedly OEKO-TEX Certified and eco-friendly with no harmful or toxic substances used to create it. That is what the Product Description says.However, I must respectfully disagree. In attempting to work with this to create a couple of Buddhist necklaces, my fingers went quite numb. As did my mouth and tongue from having to constantly re-wet the thread because it kept drying out so quickly. Then my forehead became numb. And I began to feel extremely sick.Upon smelling the contents of the box, there was a very distinct and highly discernible chemical odour emanating from the thread. There is absolutely nothing eco-friendly about any of this or the physical reactions I experienced.I asked my friend Julie to return the item. Which she did as of this morning of 13 November, 2021. I am very patiently awaiting my refund to my gift card balance.
