So, I got my hands on a new grill cover (for free) this week. I went out to the grill to look at the old one and make sure the new "free" one fit correctly. I thought I was going to just keep the new one in reserve, and I still might, but I did notice the old one (the Unicook I'm actually reviewing), had a little bit of wear signs. Namely the four corners had worn through. Other than that, there was no deterioration and little if any fading. The material did not feel brittle or as if it would start falling apart.I came back in the house and looked up when I'd bought it. I had completely forgotten and honestly thought it was only a couple of years old. Turns out, I bought it in May of 2019. It sits on my patio and is covered by a balcony above. However, it has sat out there in the blazing heat and icy cold Ohio climate for the last 6 years. The only critique I can find is that the corners are wearing through where the steel of the grill have rubbed on it for 6 years.I guess I just can't be angry about that. I've had a number of covers for other items we have outdoors and I'm all but certain none of them are that old. Things wear out, it's just the way it is. This cover is not worn "out", it's just showing signs of wear. If I hadn't got a new one by chance, I wouldn't have even looked at the old one until this spring.Anyway, I see they have a new edition of this one. If it's as good as this one, I'd buy it again for sure.
