United Oddsocks Dames Meisjes Mis Match Armwarmers

These are fun but also useful things when the weather is colder even in the house.Suffer with fibro and also have OA in hands but these funky looking warmers are just right for me. Can read books easily when wearing them or even type so got warmer feeling hands. Seems to be they keep your wrists warm thereby helping your hands keep warm. Plus side for me is the thumbs on them suffer a lot with painful thumb joints and these allow me to read and type and my thumbs be covered and not ache as much in this cold weather. Yes ok so wearing them in the house more than outside. One a plus side though nothing like the Steptoe gloves from years back as those are really funky and fun. Yes family members have pointed out that they don’t match, but that’s the design I’ve told them. Judging by their looks not sure they agree with me on that one. Not washed them yet but when I do will update review with how they have come up. But at the moment really pleased with these and think they would make great stocking fillers next time.

Really nice! So nice that I had to give them to someone who admired them and then of course promptly ordered another pair. Lightweight (therefore they take up little room in a pocket or handbag) but warm ; and the finger-end bit stretches nicely over one's hand . Just what I wanted.The ONLY thing is that I had a really hard time finding them - having bought some several years ago - as they aren't findable on Amazon under "fingerless gloves" or "fun gloves" and similar, and (due to that fact) I couldn't even find them in my Amazon "orders" list of many many hundreds of items over the years. I finally was inspired, on a whim, to search for "oddsocks" and that is how I found them.I hope Amazon or the manufacturer reads this so that they can ensure that these gloves are listed under "fingerless gloves" and/or "fun gloves" so that they can be found by many more people who happen just to be looking for fingerless gloves in general. That's because these are fun, comfy, useful, flexible in their use, and just ideal for popping into a pocket or handbag; AND they make great presents.

It's a good idea, making fingerless mitts out of socks, and they work *quite* well. The fabric is pretty, warm, and thin enough that I can wear them under the sleeves of long-sleeved tops, keeping my forearms doubly warm (curse you, Reynaud's). The elastic is fractionally tight across the base of my fingers (I wear a medium rubber glove :-), but better too tight than too loose. I've deducted a star for the thumb, which is a bit peculiar: it's the sock heel, which makes sense, but the seam where they've added a little elastic thumb-cuff (similar to the strip of elastic across the hand) is a bit bulky and annoying.

Fantastic colours and fit. Range if coloured stripes means it goes with everything!
