Excluded everything but infra red light. Cool!

I noticed some reviewers complaining before I purchased this about it being different from a Hoya R72. Only got mine today, and it definitely has a different profile to a Hoya R72, no doubt. I could see that without even mounting it on the camera. The Hoya is totally opaque to the eye, the Gobe lets through some visible light. No worries, I don't actually mind, it will give me a different effect to the Hoya which I have in a different size. I wouldn't quite call it dual-band, but it does not have the sharp cut-off of the Hoya. So probably not white foliage. Should be interesting in colour mode. Happy to support an Aussie brand. Plus I planted more trees.

I really liked the packaging, when you open the box it says "you just planted 5 trees" and you can go online put your unique code in from the box to let them know that you have purchased this item and they will plant 5 trees. I did not dig deep into this so I am not sure if they will take care of them trees so they can start to grow or they just plant them and let them die. If anybody has information on this please feel free to let me know as my main interest was to take IR pics really. So the filter itself comes in a nice well cushioned case which is very pleasing, way better than what cheaper filter companies do, which is pretty much put them in a plastic bag. Mind you the plastic bag is in a netted cushioned pouch, but still I prefered this one. However, I was a bit disappointed when it did not make the vegetation white on the pictures, as many ppl say online that they use IR720 filter and it does all these wonderful pictures. Well, if you dig deep into this you will find out that it won't turn green into white. (see attached pics) but it also gives a really good effect which I like. Also don't forget to take a picture of the grass with filter on first, and use that picture as the base of your custom white balance on the camera. Otherwise you will end up with red pictures and it will take a lot of editing to get it right. If you want extreme colours or white ones, get IR760 IR850 or IR950 filter. Please see the other attached pictures with notes to decide which filter you want.
