It has been more than a year since I have purchased the converter, and it is still going strong. I am able to connect my keyboard, mouse, external webcam, and an ethernet cable alongside the power adapter of the HP laptop all at once. It all works good including video calls via the external webcam. Note that the device has 2 USB-A ports in total, and I had to use another extender to add the mouse and the keyboard.

Kort en krachtig: Ik heb deze dongle gekocht om mijn Chromecast met Google TV 4k te voorzien van een usb aansluiting en van een bedrade netwerkaansluiting. Beide werken uitstekend op de Chromecast, waardoor de functionaliteit van dit apparaat eenvoudig is uitgebreid.

I use this hub as a home office docking station. I've got a 2560x1080 HDMI screen, a power adapter, an ethernet cable and a USB keyboard & mouse connected.I've used this hub for 5 months now, and the only issue I've had is that very occasionally I've had to unplug the power adapter and plug it back in for the power delivery to work. Otherwise, it works great.

I did not want to use the big bulky docking station that came with my dell laptop. Also, I needed to have various ports like the ethernet and USB for my keyboard. The ethernet port comes in handy for a direct hardwire connection to my internet box as the wifi signal cuts out sometimes, but this adapter solves that issue!

Utilisé comme "docking station", je peux brancher souris, clavier, écran (HDMI) et réseau (RJ45) en toute simplicité sur l'adaptateur pour brancher le plus simplement du monde mon portable en USB-CDe plus, le port USB-C sur l'adaptateur permet la recharge de mon portable SANS aucune surchauffeAyant acheté plus d'une dizaine de ces adaptateurs et n'ayant jamais rencontré aucun soucis ... je recommande pleinement ce produit

I'm using it from 2 months and I can say that it is hard tested due to all the time used almost 100%As a con I can say that It is not working in a different port than Thunderbolt 4 (USB - C) in my laptop. I checked if it is possible to use it as an USB hub only (without using HDMI ports) connected to USB - C without Thunderbolt and no, it is impossible.Also, with my ASUS TUF I am unable to open settings in the native ASUS program due to Blue Screen error when any of the HDMI ports in HUB are in usage.When I'm avoiding opening settings, while I use my 2 extra monitors (3 Samsung 21") then it is working fairly ok. (Windows settings are working correctly).Sometimes one of my HDDs which are connected to the HUB disconnects itself, but when I need to use this HDD, HUB is connecting it straight away, without problem.(almost all the time connected devices: full size keyboard, gaming half keyboard, one monitor, 2 external HDDs)As using external screens is very important to me I will definitely look for different solutions.

I bought this to be able to use an external storage for CCWGT that only has 4.4GB. I had problems to get it to work but eventually I did so here is my solution:Get a microSD card that's fast enough. I use speed 10.Format the card to FAT32.Plug it in to this adapter.Make sure you're in developer mode.Go to developer option and scroll down to Force allow apps on external and enable it.Now this was the problem for me. I use a power adapter that outputs 60W and has both USB and USB-C output. Do NOT use an USB-C to USB-C cord. That's what I first did. It will give enough power to use the Chromecast but not enough power to the USB ports and make it recognize the external storage so USE A USB TO USB-C cord.Now go to storage and you should see the new external storage.Good product. It took a while to get delivered but eventually it did.

Works per listing to add external storage to a Chromecast with Google TV. Google states to use power in excess of the provided 7.5w, this is correct, 7.5 would not power Chromecast and the USB drive, I used a iPad 12w. Chromecast didn't like a 2.0 USB thumb drive either, 3.0 worked great. Finally I was using power with Ethernet on my Chromecast that I purchased from the Google store, the built in Ethernet port on this hub works great including streaming 4k. So all in this hub with 12w power, USB 3.0, and Ethernet works excellent for adding external storage to Chromecast with Google TV.
