A good product. A slightly longer lead would have been nice but it works fine.

I ordered this because it has 2 MicroSD (TF) card slots, (and 2 SD card slots as well), and I often want to use multiple cards of these types at the same time. I had been using 2 USB stick type card readers but that took up 2 USEB 3.0 ports on my hub. This card reader has replaced the 2 readers I was using and freed up a USB 3.0 port. It comes with a USB-C adaptor included if you prefer that connection option. The reader is small considering how many slots it has, and has a plastic shell. Although I prefer metal shell devices, this is very portable due to its lightweight construction, if you need one to carry around. I've stuck mine to the underside of a laptop stand with velcro (making it easier to remove and take somewhere if I need to), which the slots all being on the one side made possible. The build in cable is a little on the short side, so I've had to use an extension cable, but you may not need to.In use, it works well with both SD and TF (MicroSD) cards, (I don't have any of the other types of card this reader takes, but am sure it will work just as well with those too). The read and write speeds appear identical to the previous card readers I've been using, using a USB 3.0 port on the laptop.Overall, I am happy with this reader due to the dual TF (MicroSD) and SD card slots, but have deducted 1 star for the plastic shell and short connection cable. I received the product free of charge and do not know the retail price, so I'm unable to comment on value for money.

The unit is great that it has USB A and by removing the connector you can turn it to usb c (which i did for my Fold 6 Phone and Tab S10+ tablet)Disappointed with the build quality as feels like it's made from a lot of cheap plastic & it actually looks very cheaply built. The sockets I used worked ok (tiny sd from my dashcam and few old sd cards I have with backup photo ect on them)There was a delay a few times with my tablet registering the device connection, worked ok once seen.Over all it's ok could be build with better quality materials as there are these available for similar if not better priced.Im concerned on the longevity of this unit especially in a business environment carrying in a laptop bag & being plugged in unplugged, plugged in & out ect.Only rated 3* due to what I feel as cheap materials and cheap build quality.

I got this as I have just got from holiday and needed a card reader to upload a lot of photos to my PC.The card reader is well made and a lot better quality than other more plastic ones that I've had in the past. To connect to the PC you can either use the older USB A or the newer USB C. I just copied over 250gb from a high speed SD card and I'm impressed with how fast it did the job. There are also plenty of other slots if you have a different kind of memory card, but haven't been able to test other ones out. Overall I'm pleased with this.

NOTE: I got this for free as part of the Amazon VIne programme. But I'll still give an honest opinion.I needed a new card reader as my old one was behaving really erratically of late. I picked out this one for three reasons:1: It can handle a wide range of different size cards2: It has a short lead rather than plugging directly into the USB socket on the comp [as my old one did] so it's not blocking adjacent ports [as my old one did]3: it comes with an adaptor on the end, so it can plug in to either old skool USB-2 or newer USB-C sockets. So it'll work on both my older and newer laptops. In my [admittedly brief] testing, it's performed well. There's a steady blue power LED [which turns red if the connection is not secure] and a separate strip of blue LEDs to indicate which of the attached card slots is being used.I hoked around in a drawer and found a few old CF cards, a couple of SD cards and a microSD card to test it with. All were read without any problem and I was able to satisfy my idle curiosity as to what was on the old CF cards, as I last used them aeons ago and, since then, had nothing that would read them. One pleasant surprise was that the reader will read and mount multiple cards at the same time. In the photo, I have a CF card and two SDcards inserted. They all appeared on my desktop and, as well as copying "stuff" off them, I was able to copy files between them, which is pretty nifty.Obviously it's too soon to give any brownie points for longevity. But, so far, it seems like a decent piece of kit for a tenner.
