Ik heb een Google Chromecast met Google TV in bezit. Deze heeft echter alleen wifi-verbinding. Zoals bij velen haperde deze enorm als ik ging streamen, wat toch wel één van de belangrijkste functies van die stick is.Graag wilde ik mijn Chromecast bedraad aansluiten. Dat kan met extra hardware. Google heeft zelf een zogenaamde "Ethernetadapter voor Chromecast met Google TV" voor €19,99. Deze is echter al maanden uitverkocht.Als alternatief heb ik dit apparaat gekocht. Wat een positieve verrassing. Werkt direct met de Chromecast en streamen gaat nu als een tierelier. De stick is er qua bediening ook sneller op geworden. Aanrader dus als je graag je Chromecast bedraad wilt aansluiten.

Werkt goed en was op tijd

Aansluiten en klaar! Enige nadeel zijn de oplichtende felle LED's van de RJ45 aansluiting. Deze heb ik met donkere tape afgeplakt zodat het achter de soundbar niet oplicht.

Om de wifi niet te veel te belasten met streaming data, maar ook omdat de kabel stabieler en sneller is, heb ik deze adapter gebruikt om kabel ethernet met RJ45 connector aan te sluiten op mijn Chromecast 4k met Google TV (werkt ook op bijv. Fire TV 4k stick etc.).Dit werkt prima! De chromecast is nog steeds via wifi te bereiken om vanaf bijv. telefoon te casten, maar de data gaat via de kabel. Top dus.

Met dubbelzijdig tape aan de achterkant van mijn TV geplakt en aangesloten met een Chromecast Google TV dongel, werd gelijk herkend en werkt meer dan prima!

Werkt perfect met de Google Chromecast tv 4k

Bad product, plugged it into my vr headset to get ethernet connection and it worked for 30 seconds. After that it was dead, connection leds go on and start blinking but no data come through.Also tested on my laptop that has usb c thunderbolt but nothing.This is going back to where it came from.

This was for a Motorola Edge Neo 30 phone which has USB-C 3.1, to provide internet access to a Windows 10 machine at suitable video streaming speeds. USB tethering was tested giving 10Mbps this adapter allows the phone (Android 11 and above) to do Ethernet tethering and that connection was 2.47 times faster i.e. in the above example you would get 24.7 Mbps which is a huge huge speed increase (over USB-C 3.1). It solved the connection problem. While tethering it is possible to charge the phone as the internet data is travelling to the PC but the charge rate from a smart charger was very slow and therefore perhaps not enough to maintain the charge in the phone. A dumber charger might do better. When no data is being used and the phone goes into standby the tethering was turned off by the phone. Not sure if it will do that while the adaptor is in use. This is a very high quality device that works well. Apple computers might not do USB tethering for hardware reasons, this adaptor solves that problem (tested on a Mac Pro 1,1). This device exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended.

Acabado de instalar este adaptador RJ45 a USBC RUXELY para mejorar la velocidad de conexión de internet de un Chomecast para tener suficiente velocidad para jugar remotamente a la PlayStation 5 a través de la aplicación PS Remote que está disponible para el Chomecast. Funciona perfectamente. Tengo contratado 1000 Mbits, pero en el dormitorio donde está conectado el Chromecast, haciendo un test de velocidad no me llegaba a los 40 Mbits. Conectando este dispositivo, llego a los 300 Mbits sin problema. Cabe decir que existe un enchufe original para el Chomecast que permite la conexión del dispositivo a RJ45 pero con un máximo de velocidad de 100 Mbits. Con este he conseguido que el Chromecast funcione a 300 Mbits. También comentar que he podido utilizar directamente el enchufe y cable USBC que viene en el Chromecast sin ningún problema. He comprado a parte un cargador de 60W pensando que sería necesario pero no. Directamente funciona con el cargador y cable que viene con el Chromecast. Este cargador de 60W que tiene varias tomas y que finalmente no es necesario lo utilizaré cuando viaje.

N'aimant pas trop le WiFi, j'ai acheté cet adaptateur pour que mes filles puisse avoir du réseau filaire et recharger leur tablette en même temps. Et bien, il fait bien le boulot. Reconnu tout de suite par Android, qui affiche de suite un nouveau réseau et se connecte directement dessus. Pour recharger la tablette, il suffit de brancher le chargeur de la tablette sur le port USB C de l'adaptateur.Un peu plus d'un an d'utilisation, parfait !
