I bought a mini PC and wanted to improve the login security. This works perfectly with Windows 11 out of the box. The reader can handle a finger press from any angle so as long as it's within reach you can perform an authentication in a few seconds.

The device works great but my new Win 11 laptop kept saying that there was an unexpected error and wouldn't let me setup the fingerprint recognition. The device was visible and had the latest drivers in the device manager.After much searching it turns out that I had to go to settings / accounts / access work and school. From there I had to remove the school accounts I had setup on the laptop for my kids school which having them registered caused the biometrics to be affected. At the top of that page it does say "your work or school might control some things on this device when connected".Again this had nothing to do with the device. If I didn't have those accounts connected, it would have worked flawlessly out of the box but I share my experience in case someone else has the same issue and wants to avoid hours of detective work reading pages and pages of support pages online.Overall I am happy with this purchase.
