Beautiful. Well built. Great size these bowls add a touch of loss cost class to any table. Very functional they hold a good sized portion and are easy to clean. Just make sure to rinse them as soon as possible. I do t know who chose the packing but it is creative and provides great protection. They can be used as saving utensils or individual portions. Easily useable for stew, chili, soup or dessert. They add a touch of elegant e to any tab!e. I am thinking about buying another set to more fully take advantage of those beautiful and classy bowls
