I've played the guitar since I was 5 years old. I am of a reasonable standard and have played numerous guitars across a broad spectrum of price/age/knackeredness/cherishedness in various woefully poor and unsuccessful bands. The last 12 string I played was a friend's absolutely glorious Martin which cost him 2 grand so I know how a nice guitar plays and feels. I bought this one because I needed a 12 string acoustic to bash around on for fun and of course I wasn't expecting much - it's 170 quid innit. Worth a punt but probably gonna be a bit of a lemon. What I received for that money is a guitar for which, frankly, I'd have been quite happy paying twice the price. Out of the box it's needed no truss adjustment, the action is as low as it can get without being buzzy, it's got a lovely sound to it and it's incredibly easy to play. I do tend to play 12 strings at least a step lower and capo up to concert pitch if I need to, so I suppose that has to be taken into account, but I can see this guitar having no problems if you do tune to E standard because it seems so sturdy and well made. I've currently got it in open G dropped a tone (so open F I suppose) and the sound unamped is gorgeous - rich, bassy and full.A disclaimer/caveat is that I've not yet plugged it in - because all I really wanted was a 12-string acoustic and the electro element was just gonna be a bonus. So I'm reviewing it as a pure acoustic guitar here. But it's well worth the money on that basis as far as I'm concerned.I've noticed a few reviews talking about build quality issues and I suppose when you churn out mass-manufactured instruments to a cost cap there'll be some duff ones flying about the place. However I can only speak as I find and if that is the case, then I've definitely got one of the good ones. No imperfections, a nice matte black finish, the tuning pegs have a nice heft to them, it doesn't lose its tuning, yada yada. Finally, it comes with a lovely thick soft case (not one of these bin bag-style ones you usually get at this price point), a capo, a lead and a little electronic tuner. I dunno how they've managed all this at 170 quid. I'm absolutely flabbergasted to be honest.Edit: It's a few weeks later and it's still playing beautifully. Got it in DADGAD at the moment and it sounds gorgeous.

Servizio persino in anticipo sui tempi e irreprensibile.
