Tried it out for a trip and it was great - such a space saver and light when not full. I didn't roll it up, the plastic seems like it might crack or distort if left rolled up for a while.Considering buying a smaller size as well, as 1L size is a bit big for my day pack.

I tested this out on my travels to Morocco, Spain and Portugal over a two three month period. I worked flawlessly. I doesn't fit in traditional cup holders unless you learn how to use it that way, but I had been impressed. I'm still taking it on hikes, to the gym, and especially when I go into a venue that denies full bottles.

Arrived fast. Exactly as described. Took it on a trip to Cuba. Worked great as our airline water container. Carried it empty through security and filled it on the other side. Then, while we were traveling, we bought large bottles of distilled water and filled these for our day trips to carry at our sides. Easy to rinse out and fit in the top of the dishwasher when we got home. We did have to hang them to dry thoroughly for a couple of days before storing for the next trip, but that is a small thing because you can clearly see if there is any moisture still remaining. Would buy again with no hesitation.

This is easily one of the best purchases I've made this year.It's only $11, but it saves me at least $20 per week.The Vapur Element Bottle does exactly what it's supposed to do: it holds water, and when it's empty, it collapses down into a tiny space.I am a fairly serious street photographer and walker and it's not unusual for me to be out for 10-12 straight hours in the course of a day.I've been 100% comfortable leaving a full Vapur bottle in my bag next to a $2,000 camera + lens setup.It's that tough. I've filled the bottle up, squeezed it hard, tossed it around, and zip -- no leakage, no bursting, no nothing. The cap seals very tight on top and doesn't open too easily, which basically eliminates the risk of it opening accidentally.The Vapur seems fairly well insulated. I often throw it in the freezer before I go out, and the water tends to stay pretty cold for at least an hour.Unlike some reviewers, I haven't detected any type of unusual taste or smells coming from my bottle, though I do wash it regularly.And when it's empty, it squishes down really, really small and takes up virtually no space. It's perfect for travelers without much extra room.The Vapur also has a hook bracket contraption to allow it to hang off a bag or piece of luggage. Like the cap, it's very sturdy. It doesn't feel like there's any chance of it falling off.One thing to keep in mind: the Vapur will stand up on a flat surface if the bottle is full. But if it's half-full or less, it has a tendency to flop over and cause spills. But that's par for the course for a collapsible bottle.For this reason, I also wouldn't recommend the Vapur for use in a car.But for hikers, walkers, travelers -- it's a great, great buy. Two thumbs up. If mine broke I'd order another in a second.
