I prefer this style of broom and dustpan. It stands upright and the dustpan has a long handle, I'm able to sweep up without having to bend over. The enclosed dustpan also confines dirt and debris until I'm able to toss it into a garbage can.The pole sections are made from a thin metal. The rest is made of a sturdy and durable plastic. The dustpan has teeth that run the width of the dustpan which clean the broom of all the debris. All the components are threaded and screw into place with ease and provide a stable pole.The handle requires some effort and force to put into into place on the dustpan so that it remains and the unit stands upright. The broom handle sits loosely into the hook of the dustpan, a little snugger would be helpful.The MYTHOSURGE broom and dustpan set is reasonably priced for the quality.

Bought this as I have difficulty bending down to use a normal dustpan and broom. It arrived with all the pieces inside the dustpan. The instructions were basic but it is not rocket science to assemble what is essentially a pole. It always makes me smile when the instructions give each piece its own letter or number then don't have the pieces similarly numbered - what is the point of numbering them on the instructions?Anyway, put the both the broom and dustpan together as per the instructions in about 5 minutes. The dustpan was a good height but the broom was way to high for me so I took two pieces out of the broom handle which made it the same height as the dustpan and it was much better.I am always sceptical about the sturdiness of handles that are made up of multiple pieces but this seems to be fine.I was also a bit worried that the dirt would simply go under the dustpan when sweeping it in but it doesn't. Everything goes into the pan.The broom clips onto the handle of the pan and the whole lot can be stored in the broom closet or hung on a hook in the laundry.The only negative I would say is that your cannot tilt the pan forward when emptying it into the bin but that is only a minor issue.
