These are easy to install without using any tools, and work flawlessly. My refrigerator freezer door would not stay shut completely and I needed something that would hold the door closed. Checked on Amazon and what do you know - they had just the kind of thing I needed. Ordered, quick delivery, and my freezer door now stays shut. Then my 2 year old German Shepherd decided he was going to get into the refrigerator one day while I was gone and I came home to a huge mess on the floor. Got another one of these locks out, installed it within a minute, and have foiled my GSD from opening the door. If you have a GSD, you’ll know how they don’t want you out of their sight. He then busted into the bathroom because he didn’t like that I was out of sight and broke the lock. Once again, another lock on the bathroom door on the outside and the inside in order to keep Mr. Troublemaker from deciding to see where I am.One just never knows where one will need this type of lock, but these have been a lifesaver so I don’t have to throw everything away out of my refrigerator and/or freezer and also have a few minutes of private time away from GSD prying eyes. Would definitely purchase again.

Super easy to use and works great

I bought these because my 18-month old is becoming a real explorer and I didn't need him exploring what was in the oven. The straps were thicker and longer than I expected, which really impressed me with how strong the straps were. I pulled on the oven door handle rather strongly after I installed it, and the door wouldn't open. I'm confident that my son won't be able to open the door until he figures out how to open the latch.The only word of advice I will give to buyers is to make sure you are aware of which way the strap will release. I had to throw out my first strap because I didn't install in the optimal manner. (I know the adhesive works really well, because I was not able to salvage it when I removed the pads) The strap was flapping back into the open oven door, which just isn't ideal if you're opening and closing frequently. I looked at the suggested installation method, straight up and down, and made sure the strap was attached to the door and well out of the way when open.Great item and even better value!

It sticks really well, and will hold a good amount of force before giving in. It could be really strong if put in a good position. Try to install it L bent. I installed two straight wise and both broke, one from the clasp and the other the strap broke. all the L bent ones are still doing a good job.
