I bought these to use on a Quiet Book I am making. The adhesion is ok (two thin strips running parallel across the middle), but I stitched them on with a star across the whole thing as they will be pulled on a lot and I didn’t want them to come off!

I bought these sew on Velcro coins to use in a quiet book project. However when they arrived I was dismayed to find that they had adhesive on the back so were not sew on as described. I could't return them as I had opened the packet. (response from seller). When using them my needle got covered in glue. I had to change my machine needle several times.

Very disappointed to discover that these "sew on" Velcro buttons are sticky backed. The problem with that, of course, is that sewing them in is impossible. The sticky back gums up hand and machine needles making them impossible to use. The sticky is NOT strong enough to secure to fabric. I searched everywhere for sew-on Velcro buttons and was thrilled when I saw these on Amazon. Yes, they were shipped from over-seas but I thought, "it's worth it to get what I need for my fabric project." Sadly, they are NOT sew-on. OK, it's not the fault of Amazon. The "sew on" label is identified right on the package. I blame the manufacturer.
