Lakritzstäbchen sind bei mir und meiner Schwester der große Renner. Leider bekommt man sie von einem nahmhaften da. Hersteller nur noch in kleinen Tüten; daher toll sie hier in einer 1kg Packung zu bekommen.

Should I really be admitting that amazon order history informs me that I've bought 16 kgs this stuff so far, further to which I know I've sourced these elsewhere as well? What can I say, I'm part liquorice! I blame my mother, something about fennel in the homemade gripe water or something. Never been wild about chocolate, nor other sweets really. Liquorice is my vice. Venco Kleurendrop are my sweet drug of choice, the salt encrusted laurels go to FinlandThese are great, most of the time. My ideal comfit is on the petite size with the thinnest of sugar coatings with a distinct, delicate crunch before hitting the chewy, not overly sweet liquorice core. If you love Taveners you will probably not like these. That's okay, I'll leave the Taveners alone for you and we'll both be happy. If the delicacy of the sugar shell is a big part of your comfit eating experience then these are for you.As for the "most of the time remark," sometimes the bag arrives looking like it was used for lunch time rugby at the depot, once or twice the comfits were verging on stale (they're usually very fresh), occasionally the colours are poorly mixed (the last bag was mainly pink and orange - boo), and just once a colour went wrong at the factory and had to be picked out. Mainly it's been fine.

Hubby loves this! Says its better than the Goodies he used to buy. A bit pricey but well worth buying for a special gift.

I am Dutch living abroad and this tastes just like back home. Only difference is that we don’t have these huge bags at normal supermarket.

Little pricey for how much you get.
