This venus fly trap is exactly as it states in the pictures.It arrives very well packaged & in very good health, much better then the garden centres we have here.I am slightly amazed at how healthy it is as packaging a plant & posting it is not an easy task and consering the value for money I would definitely recommend one or more.Edit..I bought two in all as they are that good, & have added a picture of 2 months later and I can say Caroline & Carolina are double the size they were when I purchased them as I am now a pro with these plants.So lil tips for beginners..Make sure they hv sufficient light atleast 8hrs on a window seal or 6hrs direct sunlight or 4hrs under a grow light depending on settings.Make sure they are always in a water pot with water keeping them fresh upto the main nerve roots not above, so about 1/3 pf pot size.Make sure the water is distilled or rain water, no tap water as this can kill them.Do not play with traps as this can also frustrate and kill the plantFeed them live insects or make sure the plant belives it is alive by using a pin and moving trigger hairs until all of leaf is closed while pulling out the pin.An alternative is carnivorous spray and spary each leaf inside the mouth.But most importantly is photosynthesis (the sun) this will keep the plant thriving no matter how much food it had, but a few bugs is recommended.Each leaf can eat 4-5 insects approx before dying and allowing others to thrive.For a healthy plant all Yr round leave it for a dormancy/hibernation period from nov-march depending on climate and living conditions.Hope it helps.

Very healthy pland very well packed - small but in perfect condition and loves window seat

I’ve wanted this plant for a while. It’s not available in stores near me so I decided to order it on Amazon. I was worried about the shipping and yes I believe shipping did stress the plant a bit. As you can see a lot of the traps are closed at the moment because of the shipping stress and that can take a lot of energy from the plant.This is my third day of having her and I took those pictures after I did some mild dressing as the soil had shifted and some plants had closed on each other.I would say if you want it, go for it. If it’s easier to get in person then that may be better as the shipping can take a toll on the plant. However it’s a beautiful plant and I hope it survives long enough to get bigger

I've had two plants for nearly three months. Slightly showing signs of being packaged up, which is understandable, both plants appeared healthy. They are now thriving with plenty of new traps growing.
