Hier staan jaren aan digitale foto's op opgeslagen, als backup. Alles staat ook op de cloud, maar heb deze bluray m-disc in de kast voor het geval dat.Wel jammer dat ze echt duur zijn. Even eentje branden zoals we eerder met cd's en dvd's deden zit er bij deze M-Discs niet in.

Some of you may already have experienced data corruption and disintegration with fast performing storage medias, like NVMe SSDs. I for one surely have had that experience, and I was looking for a robust and reliable means of storage, and stumbled upon M-Disc by Millenniata. Unfortunately, disc media is on the obsolescence, and the companies making disc media technology also went down to the abyss, including Millenniata.Fortunately, Verbatim is still standing strong with disc media storage technology, and the M-Disc Blu-Ray writable disc is the pinnacle of archive storage. I have made copies of my most cherished memories without a hitch, and reading them back was smooth and easy. They are not the fastest storage media, but they to seem to be permanent and intact.I also tried the ink-jet disc label on one of my software backup disc. The label printed out just the way I wanted, and dried onto the disc fairly quickly.

I've read a number of reviews here, and seems a lot of people are having trouble with the software. It takes about 3 hours for 100GB to record and 2 more hours to verify the disc. So far so good.I got a pack of 25x 100GB and also 25x 4.7GB for testing and smaller files. I recommend testing your setup on smaller MDISCS first so it doesn't cost so much if you mess up.

I thought the discs would be printable. They were printed. That could be me misreading the specs?Apparently there are 'MDiscs' and 'MDiscs'. I don't think current Verbatam MDiscs are as good as the originals?The first disc I burned had faults when played. Could be just a one-off?
