I realized after having received this product that hard to write about it, but here is my take, it's similar to a standard carbon filter in vacuum cleaners, not the fancy vacuum cleaners but the cheaper ones. It has an addition of cotton fiber interwoven directly into the carbon fiber, hence it's a single piece mix whereas more expensive filters tend to be layered and softer. You should expect to have to replace/throw it away after it's been used without a big chance to fully wash it and reuse it.It feels hard to the touch, the fibers and their strength is really evident, it should be durable.The price of 25 EUR is very favorable for how many filters it includes, also note that in the package there are the gray dirt/hair stoppers with what seems to be 3M quality glue.As a side note for those who wish to use these filter pads elsewhere than just in a cat litter robot, quite easy to adapt by cutting to the required shape, and/or thinning the carbon filters by cutting through the thinner

I got these Replacement Carbon Filter & Sealing Strip Set to use in my hooded cat litter tray, and it works wonderfully! Its easy to use i just slip theminto the filter compartment in the litter tray hood. The filters effectively absorb odors, keeping the space much fresher. The 10-pack is excellent value, but I do find that the filters need replacing every few weeks as they become less effective over time. Overall, they’re a great solution for odor control and well worth the purchase.

The pack contains 10 black rectangular filters, each measuring approximately 8.7cm - 8.8cm by 25.2cm - 25.4cm, 1.5cm thick. The material is odourless and feels like firm foam. It does not smear on the fingers when touched like charcoal or graphite, however it sheds black granules that smeared a light-coloured sheet, making a mess.Carbon is known to be electrically conductive. However measuring this filter with my digital multimeter, no electrical conductivity was detected. This suggested that if this carbon filter contains carbon as described, then the carbon might be coated with another material or mixed with a lot of cotton that make it non-conductive and reduces its carbon content.The filter material is porous enough to filter air, however a higher purity electrically conductive carbon material might do the job more effectively. It is soft enough to be molded or cut with scissors to a different size.The packet also contains 2 short and 2 long soft gray brush strips. Each strip has 3M sticky-tape underneath so it can be easily taped to a surface. The strips' lengths are approximately 29.2cm and 11.4cm. The brushes have a good quality feel but they shed a lot of fine hairs.
