Third pair of Vibrams, and these are already my favorite! I wear a US Women's 9, 9.5, or 10, depending on style, so I ordered my Spyridon in a Women's EU 42. It's comfortable, but just on the big side for the toes. My second toe is longer than my big toe, and my pinky toe is really short, so fit can be tricky. I ordered my next pair in a Women's EU 41, but in the Speed XC, that was way too small. For these new Trek Ascents, I decided to order a Men's EU 40, and found the perfect fit! The men's arch fits my foot much better than in the women's shoes. Nice upper material that I did get a bit wet, but no wet feet. The tread is super grippy. Looks like an off-road tire tread. Easy to put on. The toe sockets seem very small on the outside, but the fit is really good, so don't think the shoes are too small on first look. I didn't have any break-in pain, blisters, etc.I'm ordering the brown in this style because I have found my perfect shoe! .

Ich wollte meine traditionellen Laufschuhe von Asics durch Barfußschuhe ersetzten und habe mich für dieses Model entschieden, weil es im Vergleich günstiger ist als der Rest. Es ist ein unglaublich schönes Laufgefühl wie ich finde. Man spürt den Untergrund und der Fuß passt sich an ohne Verletzungsgefahr, also ein geschütztes Barfußgefühl. Die Schuhe sind so leicht und passen sich so gut an, als hätte man nur Socken an, da die Nähte im Inneren gar nicht zu spüren sind. So schnell und einfach wie Socken sind die Schuhe jedoch nicht anzuziehen. Anfangs ist es zum verzweifeln die einzelnen Zehen ins richte Fach zu bekommen und nach Übung ist es immer noch fummelig. Ich habe schon lange vorher gelernt Vorfuß zu laufen, weil es eine natürlichere und schonendere Laufbewegung ist, als auf die Hacke aufzutreten, wie die dick gepolsterte Sohle herkömmlicher Laufschuhe einen dazu verleitet. Trotzdem musste ich mich sehr darauf konzentrieren, aber mit den Barfußschuhen macht man das ganz automatisch. Ich bin total begeistert und finde jeder der gerne joggt oder wandern geht sollte mal Barfußschuhe ausprobieren.

Quite a bit stiffer than my Bikilas but no complaints there. I wear my Bikilas for running and these for everything else. After wearing these for a few days of field work, I couldn't bear the thought of stuffing my feet back in to the confines of a hiking boot and now I wear these puppies for nearly all outdoor activities. If you're on your feet all day, let 'em spread.I wear a women's 8.5, often sizing up to a 9 in order to get a comfortable width. Not all women have delicate, slender little hooves. The struggle for a comfortable width in women's footwear is real. However, a size 40 in the Men's Trek Ascent fits nicely. They're still a tad snug with my wool Injini socks but with the lightweight socks, they're perfect.I also strongly dislike the women's color options and would usually also prefer not to call even more attention to my "alternative" shoe choice, so I bought the more understated men's color option.Haters gunna hate but they don't know the toe joy you get from wearing these comfortable shoes all day. Embrace the crunch.
