I have twin 18 month olds who are generally pretty good on their feet, but still need a little help sometimes as the stumble fairly often.I want sturdy harnesses that were NOT stretchy or too long, so they couldn't get tangled, and so I could lift them one handed if needed.These are PERFECT for younger toddlers who still need a bit of extra support when walking. The padded harness is good and supportive, and the simple strap is strong enough that you can lift them up if needs be.I've even lifted one twin onto my shoulder like a handbag briefly when she was being difficult when I was trying to deal with her sister's lost welly (I wouldn't recommend this for any length of time, but in an emergency it was super helpful).Really good for little ones new to walking, probably frustratingly short and restrictive for older toddlers/preschoolers though.
