These sunglasses are a classic case of "almost perfect." On the one hand, they offer fantastic value for money. The build quality is surprisingly robust for the price point, the lenses provide excellent UV protection, and the styles are undeniably attractive. For anyone looking for a stylish and affordable way to shield their eyes from the sun, these shades are a serious contender and you get four in a pack. Very useful if like me you tend to mislay your sunnies.However, my experience is significantly tarnished by the brand's outdated and ultimately insulting approach to gendered marketing. From the product descriptions, the sunglasses are rigidly categorised as "women's" relying on tired stereotypes.This feels incredibly limiting and completely unnecessary. Sunglasses are about personal style and function, not some pre-determined notion of how a gender should express themselves. By restricting choices based on arbitrary labels, the brand potentially alienates customers and certainly misses out on a broader audience. A cool design is a cool design, regardless of whether it's marketed as "for him" or "for her."The Good:Excellent Value: You're getting a lot of bang for your buck. The quality and protection are impressive for the price.Stylish Designs: There's a good selection of colours in this package of fashionable frames.Durable Construction: While they might be budget sunglasses they're quite sturdy.Effective UV Protection.The Bad:Offensive Gendered Marketing: The rigid division and stereotypical language are outdated and alienating.Missed Opportunities: By pigeonholing styles, the brand limits customer choice and potential sales.Overall:If you can overlook the cringeworthy marketing and are solely focused on finding affordable and functional sunglasses, then these are definitely worth considering. However, be prepared to ignore the unnecessary "women's" label. Hopefully, the brand will recognize the error of their ways and embrace a more inclusive and modern approach to marketing in the future. Until then, these sunglasses remain a great deal, but one that comes with a side of unnecessary and disappointing gender bias. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars (Would be 4 without the gendered marketing).
