Bought for a Starlink Mini installation. Super easy to wire and get working. Grab your multi-meter and adjust the output voltage by rotating the adjuster Clockwise to increase the voltage output. I set it to +/- 30V and the Starlink is happy happy happy. This combined with the 12v socket on an ANKER solar generator is a super simple way to have DC to DC power for the Starlink Mini. I tried using a Cigarette style 12v to 30v adapter and it got hot and I was worried the cheapo-circuits might overheat, fail or cause a fire. I've got lots of Victron components in an RV and a Boat and trust they know what they are doing. This product has a much larger heat sink and doesn't even get above skin temperature during hours and hours of use.

First, this unit is not intended to be a DC to DC charger. You need to get the Orion-TR Smart to do that. That said, this is the highest quality DC to DC convertor you can buy. It's rugged and designed for mobile applications.I installed this in my house electrical system in my truck. This system is built around a secondary battery that is charged by solar and the alternator while driving. The Starlink Mini will run off 12v with the appropriate cable, but to use a long power cable without going to 10 awg wiring you need to bump the voltage up. The Orion-TR 12/24 accomplishes that.What sold me on this product was the ability to adjust it up to 30 volts. This is easy to do with a meter and a screw driver. 30 volts DC is what the OEM Starlink Mini 120v adapter puts out. I installed this unit, added a remote switch to be able to turn it on and off as needed, and built an outlet for the 5.5x2.1mm DC plug. Plug the OEM 15m cable in and you're off. It really is that simple.
