I decided to pay a little more after reading some of the comments on cheaper versions!Glad I did, I’ve used this model twice so far making 30 brickets.The key is make sure your paper/cardboard is well cut and soaked, mix the wood shavings well in, fill up to about 1/2 inch from the top, Then compress with handles down to the stopping bars. So far it’s working well you might see a little strain on the bars . But so far I’m impressed. I’m 73 so I’m no fitness guy.Hope this helps

Perfect Christmas gift for my husband. He followed the suggestions in other's comments for adding pressure to the brick making process, and he loves it. The bricks are turning out great, and are easy to burn.

Works well. Some feedback say the handles are weak and bend, to those I say you should not be pushushing them sideways. If you push straight down they do not bend at all.There is no need to stand or jump on it to work as some claim, I am not a body builder yet it works fine for me.The only thing wrong with it is it comes packaged with polystyrene so the company does not care about the environment or poisons it leaks into the ground at landfill sites.
