I've had numerous 'wrist rollers' in my life. Most were made of wooden dowells and rope, which are functional and simple, but aren't very durable over the longterm and the wood handle would eventually cause blisters. I was apprehensive to purchase this because of the high price. After a few months of use, I can tell you that I do not regret this purchase. It is primarily made of metal, with a very wide grip range (think fat handles) that is made of a durable, comfortable material which has yet to peel or show any sign of deterioration. The strap used for the pulley function works surprisingly well, and self corrects to prevent any kind of fraying or knotting. The chain used to hold the weight is considerably strong and has been subject to 50+ pounds of weight consitently and shows no sign of breakage. If you are apprehensive as I was, rest assured, this device is worth every single penny.
