I have purchased TTArtisans 35mm F1.8 II lens and it is great. However, for a little bit more, I tried the Viltrox 35mm F1.8. The quality and sharpness of the Viltrox is so good that I purchased their 25mm F1.8 as well. Try them both, but I think you'll like the Viltrox more.

Obiettivo che prosegue la fortunata serie Air di Viltrox. Anche in questo caso...eccellente soprattutto rapportato al suo basso costo. E' tutto costruito in plastica di buona qualità che lo rende appunto Air dunque leggerissimo. La baionetta è in metallo con porta USB-C per gli aggiornamenti a venire. Usato in questi giorni presenta una buonissima nitidezza a tutta apertura per poi diventare molto molto inciso da F2.8 in poi. Sempre a tutta apertura segnalo un pò di aberrazione cromatica ed una modesta vignettatura che si sistema in post produzione. L'AF è veloce e silenzioso per tutti gli utilizzi video compreso. Su corpi performanti o recenti direi molto veloce, nella norma per corpi più datati. Ho sentito parlare di variabilità qualitative tra esemplari.... Non so ma questo è il mio terzo Viltrox (56 F1.7 e 28 F4.5) e sono tutti ottimi. Non è tropicalizzato e non ha la ghiera dei diaframmi, ma ...si sà già ed a questo prezzo impossibile chiedere di più. Il prezzo...decisamente abbordabile e personalmente ho effettuato l'acquisto con le offerte di primavera di Amazon quindi quasi "regalato". La serie AIR si conferma una scelta intelligente per un corredo da viaggio vista la compattezza, l'economicità ed i pesi inesistenti con tutta (ed oltre) la qualità necessaria. Lente stra-consigliata. Venditore (Viltrox Official) puntuale e chiaro nelle fasi successive all'acquisto.

Obiettivo minimalista, leggero, economico ma con prestazioni fotografiche impressionanti e costruzione solida.Ha tutto quel che serve e spinge molto sulla qualità ottica.Ho già il 56 1.7 e ora ho abbinato questo fantastico 25 1.7.Sono rimasto stupito del livello di sfuocato a tutta apertura, veramente morbido e senza l'effetto di schiacciamento dei medio tele.La nitidezza poi è favolosaViltrox ha scritto una nuova pagina sulla costruzione degli obiettivi.

I've been a shutterbug for more than 40 years now, and have had my share of camera lenses and systems. I switched to Fuji 5 years ago, so when I was offered the opportunity to review this lens, I jumped at the chance. This is my first Viltrox lens, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The lens itself is mostly plastic with a metal mount - it is very lightweight and fairly small, yet does not feel cheap or flimsy. There is a manual focus ring (focus by wire), but no aperture ring, so aperture is set by the front index finger dial on your Fuji camera - I do not find this hard to adjust to personally. There is an included lens hood, a lens pouch, and a USB port is located on the lens for firmware updates should they be needed. I took the lens out in my backyard to put it through it's paces. Firstly, focusing is quick, accurate, and silent. There is no focus breathing, so this will also make an excellent lens for videography - again, the silent focusing here is a plus. I even tried focusing in a dimly lit room and it was still quick and accurate. Face detection works well with this lens, and I didn't miss a single shot for lack of focus. I was able to focus within 8 inches of the lens, so it has a wide focus range. Wide open the lens is quite sharp - pixel peeping will reveal *slightly* soft at the corners, but it actually is quite good and of course is sharp across the frame by 2.8. There is a slight amount of vignetting wide open, but it is not noticeable in most photos. I find the bokeh wide open to be pleasing - it breaks off smoothly and does not give a "busy" background. The photo of the tin flower, dog, and orange blossoms were all shot at f/1.7 so you can refer to the quality of the bokeh, sharpness, and the vignetting. Chromatic aberration/color fringing is well controlled at all apertures. I did get some flaring if the sun was near the edge of the frame, but the included lens hood corrected the problem. I really enjoy the color rendering from this lens. While not comparable to a $1200 top tier lens, I find this lens performs well above average. The lens is exceptionally sharp, and the focus breathing is top tier, making it an excellent video lens. The 37mm equivalent length is similar to the field of view seen by the human eye, making it excellent for street, travel, and journalism photography. It has a relatively fast f/1.7 speed making it great for low light or separating your subject from a busy background. If I did not know the price, I would guess this lens to cost at least $500 based on performance. At the time of this review the price is $176 and I find that to be an absolute bargain for the quality you are getting. This is an easy 5 stars and I heartily recommend the Viltrox 25mm f/1.7.

This is the second or third Viltrox lens that I have owned and they all have been such a great value. Fuji lenses are top notch as far as quality of images they produce and also the way they are constructed. Viltrox lenses are not that far off from the much more expensive Fuji lenses. If money is an issue, do not hesitate buying this lens. It is very solidly built and captures images that are not that far off in quality from more expensive lenses.
