Retransmet très bien le son du résonateur

This pickup is great - you can position it however you like, it's like putting a mic inside your resonator (how I set it up). It will feedback quite easily if there's too much gain on the amp or if the amp is set-up facing you to monitor, so it takes a little getting used to on setup, but overall it's better than a trad microphone and more natural sound than a piezo pickup.

Let me first introduce myself. I've played Pedal Steel and Dobro for many years (50+ years); professionally, a-vocationally, in the recording studio and just for simple pleasure. The search for an acceptable sound for my 'reso' guitar(s) has been a constant part of the journey...until now.I have the Fishman JD system (installed in the black guitar). I like it and even recommend it especially in loud and difficult outdoor venues. But the sound, unless blended with a microphone (SM 57, etc.), is not even close to pure acoustic sound. The Myers Grip is the simplest and closest I've ever heard outside of a recording studio as captured by high quality mics (those that the Fishman JD preamp attempts to emulate by modeling). The quality and accuracy of sound, complete with the subtle nuances found within your touch and technique, are captured superbly. This is my second purchase; primarily for the security of keeping a back-up handy in the case of emergency. One of the bonuses of going with the Myers system (choice of attachment system being your only real decision to make) is you only have to have one (not one for each of your guitars, mandolins, etc.). I chose the Grip with the suction cup. PRO TIP: Don't forget to use a tiny bit of moistening for secure attachment. Yes, saliva works, LOL. Silly and obvious as it sounds, I'm guessing that reviewers that have complained about instability of mount only tried using the suction cup dry. Come on...get real. LOL. Although, in the interest of health concerns, I imagine the CDC recommends you not share your Myers device. One last thing, customer support is above and beyond excellent. I had a recent issue (my on stupidity).I contacted support by email. I received a phone call (and emails) from Gregg Myers, CEO and founder. How amazing is that!? With out a lot of unnecessary words, my problem was resolved almost overnight.Friends, for me the search for pristine sound reinforcement of the finicky resonator guitar (and mandolin) is over.

I liked the idea of a microphone as apposed to a pickup for capturing the true sound quality of the instrument. The suction cup does not work on uneven surfaces and my 48 dobro is well used so had to use the sticky tape. Not real fond of that type of application but hey ya do what ya gotta do.
