I just fitted this now so this isn't a long-term review. If anything untoward happens in use over the coming periods, I will try to update this review.So, our situation was that our existing shower riser rail wasn't working properly. Well, the part that holds the shower wasn't working properly. We bought a fancy new massaging shower head, and it was too heavy. So, it would fall forward in the holder, and then fall off... Often on my wife beneath. She didn't like that.My requirements were that this replacement would fit into the existing holes in the tiles, and that the mechanism for holding and adjusting the shower head had a lot of resistance, so that it could hold this new shower head in place. And it ticks both those two boxes. The rail is essentially adjustable at the top and bottom fixings, so should be a swap-in for most UK domestic shower riser rails found in the likes of shower cubicles (but obviously you should measure). And the shower head holder has a lot of resistance, and a "clicky" mechanism. I also noticed there was a screw set within it, so presumably I can tighten this in future if the mechanism becomes loose.I like the darker silver brushed steel look but it was SUS304 stamped in large letters on the top and bottom holders for the rail, so these are visible at all times. This is like a hallmark, indicating that it's stainless steel. But to be honest, I would prefer it if these stamp marks weren't on it.The rail also comes in two pieces that screw together to make a seamless join, almost like magic. I'm not 100% sure this will prove problem-free as time goes on (might it collect dirt or rust?) and I would've preferred a single length of tubing.Oh and the installation instructions – headed "INSTALLA TIOM" – are not very good. But then again, it's not very complicated to figure out if you've done a little of this kind of thing in the past.

Bought another one off Amazon and it was very wobbly on the wall so sent back and bought this. Secured to the wall a lot better and does the job. Just a shame about the writing on the caps would look better without it

Easy to fit and adjust to required use

Attractive shower rail & great value for money. Easy to assemble but it did not show how to use the largest screws, e.g. they hold the rail between the top & bottom parts of the shower rail set that screw onto the wall. I was going to send it back but fortunately a friend worked it out.
