In short: if you're going to spend this money on a cable, get something from a reputable brand/shop. While a little more expensive, this one isn't particularly cheap either.In detail:The cable isn't anything special although it does claim to be fully shielded. Xlr plug is metal (I assume that's standard) but the boot to close off the cable from the plug has been cut in a pretty DIY fashion - functionally fine but it looks like what you'd expect when you have to replace a plug on a cable yourself.RCA plugs seem to be gold plated but the shielding are not metal like the picture would imply, just plastic. The connector itself is molten into the same blue material that covers the cable and is not user replaceable like a metal plug housing would suggest on high quality cables (like Neutrik for example).While they're functionally fine, something of comparable quality could've been bought for half the price.

There are plenty of cables to choose from on the market at varying price points but having ones that stand up reliably to use is the test.The starting point is how well they are made and I was pleased to see they were.
