I have a monitor to use as a second screen. I attach it to my laptop and this helps me with schoolwork and other things. I had my monitor on its stand in quite an unsafe manner originally. When it would sit flat on my desk, it was at a weird angle, almost as if it was angled down. This is not the monitors fault, as my desk is on the lower side and I have a longer torso. It was simply my height and not the angle of the monitor. I had a small book slipped beneath the front of the monitor stand to angle it up, which made it unstable, but helped me see better. This also was endangering my expensive monitor as it could fall. I wanted to find an alternate method of having it on my desk and I started to look for a desk shelf to raise it up. Instead, I stumbled across this.They have a version of this stand with outlets for chargers in, and that intrigued me initially. However, I already have a lamp on my desk with ports for chargers, so I felt it would be overkill. Upon receiving it, assembly was easy. The instructions were very clear. When I went to mount the monitor to the stand, I had thought the screws they provided were too big, and I was disappointed. However, they include screws of two different sizes, and these must be the most common sizes that fit monitors because the smaller ones worked! Do to it’s adaptive manner in pretty much turning it whichever way you want, it was not difficult to place my monitor at the height necessary and the angle necessary. It has freed up my desk space, allowing me to put my office supplies where they belong. It has saved my neck, literally, and also saved my monitor from potential mishaps. Freed up my desk completely. First impressions are good.Assembly is straightforward enough, the instructions could be clearer but if your use to these kinda things (Ikea type instructions), it shouldn’t be too hard to setup. You can mount the arm to a desk via drilling however, I’ve stuck with the included clamp. Giving it a shake or two, you can tell it’s not going anywhere. Quality wise, the mount is very sturdy, definitely well built.I went for gas spring because the level of flexibility they offer is second to none. Being able to raise / lower, swivel and tilt such a big monitor effortlessly (mine’s 27’) is a real game changer. You can adjust the arms flex-rigidity with a single H5 which is handy. I would say use your own tools when assembling. The allen key’s included are okay but if it’s gunna mount your monitor, you shouldn’t cut corners.If I had one con, I would say it’s not the best for holding bigger monitors while fully extended. It will shake for a few seconds after adjustment but secures itself pretty quickly. Still, this doesn’t take away from the greatness of the product.It’s early days but overall happy so far! I plan on adding a second mounted monitor to my setup but wanted to get an ideal of how it’ll look first. For less than £40, this mount is excellent value for money, you really can’t go wrong.

The build and quality is great. But it came without one of the m6 8mm screws. This is an important screw for the stability of the arm, without it it's impossible to install. I had to go search and buy a similar screw in order to mount it.The reason why this is frustrating is I paid premium for two arms, waited a week for them to be delivered and after installing the first, I couldn't install the second due tot he lacking screw.
