Schlechte Konstruktion, daher Vorsicht beim Kauf!

The adapter feels weighty an solidly constructed. The m42 side doesn't have a defined ledge but does depress the aperture pin on some of my auto lenses. The m42 thread works as expected and connects nicely to the lens. The e mount size feels secure but has a tiny bit of play on my a6000. The few lenses I've tried focus through their full range and work well in M (auto ISO) or A mode. The helicoid feels strong but is not especially smooth in action and some oil is visible on the outside when extended. Having said that this means it can't be inadvertantly retracted while focusing or stopping down the lens. Overall I am happy but a slightly more finely machined e mount and smoother helicoid would make me more so.Update:Having used this for some time longer I feel like I've come to appreciate the value of the helicoid aspect of this much more; I therefore increased my rating based on the usefulness of this (as opposed to the build quality, though it has stood up to my use well). The reason is that it turns my S-M-C Takumar 50/1.4 into a great macro lens. When trying to frame a close up shot I get to the distance I want (for the correct framing) and focus the lens as close as it will go. If I hit the limit I then simply extend helicoid to bring the object into focus; often I go just past the focus as it's easier to tweak using the focus ring. The result is lens that can focus about 3 inches from the front element yielding a 0.75x magnification: On APS This means I can have the frame about 1 inch across. All this while maintaining the great general characteristics of the lens (when used without extending the helicoid). This yields a setup that (though slightly more cumbersome) works as well as my S-M-C Takumar 50/4 Macro for close up and is superior at other distances.
