It keeps a cup of tea hot for hours. That we'll sealed that necessary to open pour spout to close lid othwise ait locks and it will not close tightly.This does close sp tightly it is difficult to open for cleaning. It would be nice to have the lid lift lip over the handle to use it a leverage to open it.

It insulates very well. Mine is pure white so the inevitable dribbles down the side show up clearly but wipe clean easily. This model has a square handle that forms a symmetrical hole that imo makes the cup easier to hold.The lid is the only complication. It has a tight-fitting sliding valve which seals the cup so tightly that it must be slid to the open position to press the lid down onto the cup. Without doing that air pressure in the cup just pushes the lid back off. This level of seal is unnecessary imo.To get such a seal the hole you drink through is smaller than usual which is awkward to drink through when the level of the cup is below say half way because you have to tilt the cup farther than seems natural.I popped the slider out of the lid and used an xacto knife to open the hole towards the rim to the point where there is no longer a step there. The seal is no longer air-tight but still slides stiffly enough to hold it in the open or closed position. This process took some time because the plastic lid is very thick and took effort to cut away.Popping that slider out is tough. I closed the slider and inserted a 1/16” Allen wrench straight end through the hole under the slider and smacked it with a small weight - that pops the slider out of its track. This won’t work more than a few times before the plastic deforms and the slider stops fitting tightly in it’s track.
