The shawl just arrived and it is exactly as described. The length is great,, the fabric is lovely, and stitching straight. It is perfect to wear with the black chiffon formal dress that I will be wearing to a black tie wedding next weekend. We had a cold front move in after temps had been in the 80's last week, so now it looks like it might be cool ( high 40's-low 50's) the evening of the wedding. This will be perfect to wear over my shoulders in the church and at the reception without over powering my dress. I love the simplicity of it. One thing, is it does have an odd smell when first taken out of the bag. I have experienced this smell before when I was ordering furniture and fabrics from overseas when doing interior design for hotels. I attribute it to the the bug bombs they toss into the shipping containers when they arrive in the USA ports in order to fumigate against any little critters that may have stowed away on the trip over. I plan to hand wash the shawl and air dry it on a clothes rack before wearing it. That will usually eliminate that odd smell. I still give it 5 stars despite the odor because everything that is shipped from overseas has to be fumigated. No way to avoid it.

I love the look of this shawl. It's a great way to cover up your arms on a cold evening. It's not really warm or anything but does an elegant job of keeping the wind off. I mostly use it as a rap but have also used it on one occasion as a really long scarf. It's a very light chiffon material and the red that I got is beautiful.
