It feels like the screen of a smart watch, so I would love it if this would fit with an SBC inside a case that has standard watch bands. I suppose it would be easier to get a rootable smart watch, but it really feels like we're getting to the point where you can DIY build your own smart watch that isn't massive. I'm all for it. The screen is bright and easy to use. No complaints.

Fin dagli albori di Arduino e della piattaforma Raspberry Pi mi sono sempre dilettato in progetti fai da te, dai più semplici a quelli che mi hanno tolto il sonno per diverse notti. E questo display touchscreen sarà in grado di liberare ulteriormente la mia creatività dandomi spazio a nuovi e divertenti progetti. Ad esempio, credo che proverò a creare una sorta di interfaccia grafica per il controllo della domotica in casa. Ancora, in realtà, però, non ho avuto modo di provarlo nella pratica, ma mi sono dato allo studio del necessario per metterlo in funzione collegandolo ad un Raspberry Pi o ad un Arduino. Il produttore mette a disposizione una ben dettagliata pagina informativa dove sono presenti anche degli esempi d’uso e tutte le librerie necessarie.Le dimensioni sono paragonabili a quelle di un classico display che ormai tutti siamo abituati a vedere su uno smartwatch e infatti questo prodotto ben si addice a chi ha la volontà di crearne uno da zero, magari interfacciandolo con un ESP32S3 che ha dimensioni decisamente contenute.La qualità del display in quanto tale e del suo rivestimento esterno mi sembrano buone. Dal punto di vista della componentistica, poi, il produttore (Waveshare) gode di un’ottima nomea, dunque non ci sono motivi per pensare il contrario. In definitiva, dunque, un prodotto promosso a pieni voti che mi sento di consigliare a chiunque abbia la necessità di integrare un piccolo display touchscreen ai propri progetti.

Das Display macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck und erinnert mit seinem Formfaktor stark an das einer "Watch" eines namhaften Herstellers :)Vorteile:- Kleiner Formfaktor- Sehr gute Auflösung- Einfache Programmierung (Python und C auf dem Raspberry getestet)Nachteile:Keine wirklichen Nachteile, einzig:- Details zur Programmierung muss man im Internet bei WaveShare suchen und finden- Kein Gehäuse vorhanden, aber genug zusätzlich bestellbar / zu findenDie Programmierung auf dem Raspi4 macht Laune.In Python ist es einfach, mittels der Richtigen Libraries und z.B. koordinatenbasiert Linien, Text, etc. auf das Display zu bringen. Die Programmierung mittels "C" ist dafür besser geeignet, komplette Bilder anzuzeigen.Für mich selbst kam Python in Frage, da ich Statistiken, variable Daten, etc. zuerst im Script ermitteln wollte (z.B. aktuelle Temperatur, sind bestimmte Tasks aktiv, etc.), die dann variabel auf dem Display angezeigt werden. Das klappt mega einfach und ist super.Für Bastler eine absolute Empfehlung wenn es ein farbiges LCD-Display sein soll!Bei dem günstigen Preis eigentlich nicht einmal eine Überlegung wert :)
