I bought this ESP32-S3 development board for my ESPHome and Home Assistant projects and it is really impressive. This model, which comes with a plastic case, looks very professional and is easy to use.The technical specifications are exactly as I expected, it supports 5-point touch.The memory area is 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM is more than powerful. ESPHome works without problems for free and it was very easy to disable Home Assistant.The only thing missing is more detailed information in the Wiki. More plugins would be useful for some special usage scenarios.It includes a powerful, flexible and reliable option for your smart home projects, I definitely recommend it.

60 € 99 pour cette ESP 32 S3 doté d'un écran en 800 x 480. Le produit arrive avec une démo préchargée qui vend du rêve. En revanche dès qu'on veut passer un projet perso, c'est un peu plus compliqué à mettre en œuvre du fait de la présence de l'écran. Si on veut avoir un joli rendu, il y a quelques heures de boulot. En revanche les explications fournies avec sont trop succinctes et incompréhensible parfois. Le produit semble correctement fonctionner mais il faut un certain temps pour l'apprivoiser.

I would not order this product. The demo that is preloaded is very nice. Trying to get anything else to work is a nightmare. I am not a professional programmer, but I have built some complex ESP32-S3 solutions with over 1500 LOC. The documentation (their wiki) is vague and is written like a checklist of tasks to accomplish without providing any details or instructions. These devices are purchased by DIY'ers mainly, but the documentation is substandard. The videos Waveshare provides are mainly marketing videos, not tutorials. There is very little on youtube to help you.I did submit a support ticket. The issue was with one of their wikis, the Waveshare Squareline Studio wiki. I was following the wiki and I came to a spot where I was told to add code to the lvgl_Porting.ino. I needed to add code in two places. There is two graphics labeled "The first place" and "The second place". The issue was these were embedded thumbnails that could not be opened or expanded so you could not read what changes needed to be made. The answer I received was "Regarding your issue, we suggest that you read our wiki carefully and try the solutions in the FAQ. That's really helpful and has assisted many of our customers. If you still have problems after trying them, you can come to consult us again!"I am told to read the wiki when the wiki was the problem. I responded back and ask them to read my original issue again.The product seems nice and I truly wish I could make progress, buy there is a complete lack of tutorials or useful videos available. I am not returning the unit. I am hoping that Waveshare will improve there documentation and maybe provide videos that would be useful to the DIY community.Final comment is don't waste you money on this product until the support improves.

Meiner Ansicht nach, ist dieses Produkt zwar hochwertig verarbeitet aber sehr schwierig in der Anwendung aber mit ein wenig Übung lässt es sich mit dem PC verbinden und so als 2nd Monitor nutzen oder auch in einfache Smart Home Anwendungen integrieren. Doch ich muss sagen, dass es dafür Systeme gibt, die es wesentlich anwendungsfreundlicher machen und die einen angenehmeren Preis haben. Vielleicht wäre mehr Support , Anwendungsbeispiele und eine Anleitung wichtig. Ich würde es so eher nicht weiterempfehlen.
