This has been a great choice and easy enough to program into my project

The functionality was decent, I liked the dual cameras and the addition of an 9DOF IMU. It has decent features for £50 that are good for small contained projects like a self driving RC car. The problems for me came when trying to make something a little more complex…The camera cables are short, hard to buy in longer lengths and a bit of a pain to accommodate cleanly. I couldn’t find any longer cables with the small+large ends like this comes with, and ended up purchasing 4 adapters for CSI to HDMI and using a 2m HDMI cable to extend the cable away from the device. This worked perfectly but ended up as quite an expensive workaround. A usb interface would have been perfect. Especially with the IMU cables. FYI - These didn’t follow HDMI specs but simply used HDMI cables for signals. If you’re curious, I put the camera on the end of a large DIY robot arm. The cameras worked good with my HDMI workaround. The Jetson could not be mounted on the end of the arm and need to be on the base with the stepper drivers and control board. That is why I was trying to extend the distance between the Jetson and Camera. The second pain was the Jetson Nano and trying to get software to do what I wanted. I gave up on the end and unfortunately the cameras are specially designed for the jetson and not directly compatible with other devices like a PC or Raspberry Pi which has 2 CSI ports but only 1 is an input. Again, a USB interface would have made this a lot nicer to use.
