The Waveshare is a USB to RS232 adapter with real 12V out / input.(Picture is the character f @9600 baud)I bought, plenty of adapters that used TTL output, or where not real rs232 adapters.The only downside of the Waveshare, it has only RX and TX. So no handshaking.But for my job this a good solution.

Great modbus adaptet, works seamlessly with Raspberry PI

I have ordered from Waveshare in the past and have been impressed enough with their consistent quality that I now refer to them in my regular list of Amazon sellers.This adapter allows me to integrate older equipment with technically obsolete interfaces. I can opt between RS232 and RS485 with a glide switch. No drivers are required; I used it with Windows 11 with no drivers though drivers are available from Waveshare. It's very easy and straight forward to use with a basic build and I like that a terminating resistor is onboard.All said and done this is a good adaptor for a fair price.

I had several USB to serial adapters they no longer worked with Windows 10/11. Have this a try as I had a need to connect to an older RS-232 device. On my Win 10 laptop, it was plug and play. Worked with any applications I tried, even an old version of Procomm Plus. Windows 11 desktop needed a driver installed, quickly found on the website. It again works with every application I have tried. I like it so much, I am thinking of ordering a second one to keep in the laptop bag. I had several euro block 3 pin plugs in my parts box, so I made up a few different adapters (9 pin, 25 pin, and 1/8" plug) for quick connection.Well worth the price.

High quality usb to rs252 adapter. Using it to connect a rasberry pi to an ais receiver on out boat. Not a single issue so far.

Super Produkt und macht was es soll.Hatte vorher die Größe Variante, welche für Hutschienen gedacht ist.Dies hier ist noch einmal deutlich handlicher und erfüllt den selben zweck.Ermöglicht mir die Verbindung von Modbus Teilnehmer vom Protokoll RS232/485 in ein USB Signal um zu wandeln, welches ich einfach an den Laptop anschließen kann und dann lese ich die Daten mit Modbus-Poll einfach aus.Ich bin sehr zufrieden frieden und habe es meinen Kollegen schon empfohlen, da es die Arbeit mehr als erleichtert
