I am very impressed with the quality of this product. The materials are top notch and the design is excellent. Once you have made all of the adjustments for a proper fit, you can quickly take it off or put it back on thanks to the easy to use buckle. The buckle itself surprised me that it was metal which is just another indication of the high quality of this product. The padding is thick enough that when I use it with a recoil pad on my 12 gauge shotgun, I can shoot all day long comfortably. It comes with a nice storage bag so that you can keep it clean in storage when you're not using it. I have included pictures so that you can see the quality for yourself, but I think this is great and can highly recommend it.To help understand how I rate items:My philosophy is, that for a rating system to be effective, the highest rating and the lowest rating should be reserved for a relatively small percentage of the best and the worst products. If I give a product four stars, it is because I believe it is a very good product. To get five stars from me requires a product to go above and beyond and really impress me beyond my expectations. By the same token, a product has to be VERY, VERY bad to get only one star from me. One thing that I DON'T take into consideration with my ratings is price. I may make a general statement such as “this is a good value” but it will not affect my star rating. The reason is that product prices change, even from day-to-day. Also what one person may consider a good price someone else might not. I feel it is more important to review the quality and features of a product and let the buyer decide whether the current price is worth it to them. Another thing that I don't take into consideration are issues with shipping. This is because the seller does not always have control over that. Following is each of the five categories of *stars* and how I assign them to a product:***** Five stars - The product exceeded my expectations. I really love it and would actively suggest it to friends and would certainly purchase it again if needed.**** Four stars - The product met my expectations. It does what it claims to do. I like it and would recommend it to someone if they asked about it. I would Most likely purchase it again if needed .*** Three stars - The product is average and for the most part does what it claims. There may be a few things I don't like about it. If I recommended it to someone, I would state my reservations. I may purchase it again if I could not find a better alternative.** Two stars - The product fell far short of my expectations. It may, in some respects, do what it claims to do but has far too many problems to overlook. I would never recommended it to someone nor would I ever purchase it again. There is a good possibility I would return it.* One star - The product is terrible. It has way too many cons and few if any pros. I would actively warn my friends away from it and would most likely return it if possible.

This product is nicely made with quality stitching and high-end metal buckles. The pad is a bit stiff, but that’s necessary to properly disperse recoil energy over a larger area. It also has a suede strip on the front that grips the recoil pad of the shotgun, helping guide it into place and hold it securely.The straps are long enough to adjust for all but the absolute largest of shooters, and most will find it comfortable to wear. I recently wore it for several hours during a trap shoot and never had an issue with it being in place.The canvas is waxed, so it doesn’t absorb water on rainy field days. For a long day of shooting trap or skeet, this pad keeps my shoulder from getting sore, which prevents recoil fatigue and improves my shooting.Would I recommend it? A definite recommend!

This recoil shield works as intended. The durability of the leather and canvas construction is impressive. It's not hard to get on, but a little help adjusting it never hurts. I found it a bit on the larger side which is a little cumbersome, but that doesn't make it not work well. After some time for it to soften up it should fit better. I like it and it does work well for guns with some power behind them.

I ordered the "WAYNE'S DOG Ambidextrous Shooting Recoil Field Shield" for my 14 year old son and 78 year old father to use while we do our monthly shotgun skeet shooting and bonding meet ups. After several rounds, they were both feeling the recoil pretty hard. This looked high quality online, and it did not disappoint in person. It is made of heavy canvas and leather, like the traditional shotgun shooting gear. It is not so bulky that it affects your length of pull, but has enough padding to let you shoot several more rounds. It comes with a nice felt carry bag to protect it when not in use, and I was particularly please with the cobra-style quick-release buckle. The adjustment straps are great, and the adjustment range fit my 98lb son (5'8") all the way to my 6'1" 189lb frame with room to spare. I highly recommend and will be ordering more for gifts for the family shooting events.

This pad does a great job at protecting your shoulder during a day oof shooting sporting clays.
