These are sold as paper crafting tools and they work well for that. I also use them for fabric as they make measuring a sewing/hem line easy as pie to do. I make storage solutions from construction board and foam board too and these are very handy for making sure things are lined up and equally gapped.The only feature I wish it had was a sliding t section but that's just because I could then use it for spot on corners and straight edges.
