I find this very solid compared to the blue type holders available which I have stripped the adjusters out of frustration for them loosening. Problem solved here with no screws at the fine adjust level. It took me a few different size boards to get in-out down to no problem inserting or solidly retaining the PCB. The additional retaining arm is more of a hinderance in my opinion for anything more then medium size caps. I'll stick to my blue tape or solder paste.4.5 stars if I could... The coarse adjustment is the poorest design part and I found that if you adjust both rails equally at the same time it does float easily. Perhaps some plastic friendly lubricant can assist here but haven't been annoyed enough to potentially melt plastic at the high cost of this unit.

Expensive but best and easy board holder for non flat repairs.

To whom it may concern: I believe this product will serve the intended purpose it was made for, however, "THIS IS VERY PRICEY" considering the materials it was made with. However, all though I think the item was considerably OVER PRICED, I am aware of the fact that ANYTHING MADE OF QUALITY these days COST A SMALL FORTUNE!! . This is simply a problem of the times we live in. I hope this item holds up to give me a few years at least of good service. This is my " 2 cents worth " of comments on this particular item.

The build quality and small design details are better than you can see in the pictures on the screen. First off, the metal bars are extremely heavy. This helps in the stability of the holder. Next, I didn't notice them at first but there are little rubber wedges on the feet that keeps the holder from moving around.My only gripe, I didn't read the instructions, I just started fiddling with it. Adjusting the width of the holder will take some adjusting but I feel like the more I used it the process will get faster. I did find that sliding the upright back and forth can be difficult. It does tend to bind up a little bit, but not so much to make me frustrated.Overall, I would only take away a 1/4 of a star for being a little bit difficult to slide the upright over.
