This is an easy non-stick tape to put on steps or where you wish to ensure that there is no possibility of slipping. For the stuff grips and is good in that regard.It is easy to put on and get straight if you want to align along a particular edge or surface. I found this a pleasant surprise as I feared it would be a tricky product to use. Not so.My one minor criticism is that though it is transparent, you will notice it since it will reflect differently than the non-coated areas. But in my view, this is pretty inevitable given what it intends to do.So far, I've not had any issues with the adhesion, which might have been a problem. There is zero evidence of it slipping either. So, overall, I'm pretty pleased and will be getting more to cover even more steps very shortly.

For a bit of context, I live in an old terraced house where in the past someone has converted the attic, it's a nicely done roomy area. But the steps leading up to it are a tight wooden spiral that has been repeatedly glossed over making them especially slippery. Having 3 cats I wanted a solution that didn't involve anything that needed a drying time. So a roll of this looked ideal. It works a treat, the hardest bit was peeling the backing off, cut to length with scissors, peel the backing off, stick it along the edge of the step, curling slightly around the lip. It took 10 minutes. The grippy area is very good, lots of grip but comfortable to use in bare feet. The tape is gradually becoming more opaque with use, it will never blend in completely but I didn't really expect it to. Worth every penny to stop a large bloke making a lot of noise as he slides down the attic steps on his head :)
