I was a little skeptical about these when they first arrived, they didn't seem to be much of an improvement physically between them and the oem's side by side. Reviews on them were also a bit mixed some people reporting these being miracles other people reporting they didn't notice any change. For me however these were on the miracle side of things, the on center steering went from being loose to perfectly tight. The steering feel became much weightier and more solid and predictable. I think this is largely down to installing them on my higher mileage 04 Forester XT vs people installing them on fairly new cars with new bushings hoping for a tangible improvement. Thus my recommendation would be that if you have a higher milage Subaru run out and buy these, like right now. However if you have a fairly new Subaru I would not recommend bothering with them assuming your stock bushings are still in good shape.A few notes, install is a bit of a pain. It took a real pounding from the impact to get the rack bolts free and there's a good chance they may have sheered if I used a breaker bar. You're going to have to disconnect the steering linkage along with the jacking pad on the car in order to drop the rack down to be able to get the drivers side bracket out, make sure you have something to mark the steering linkage with so when you reinstall it it goes back perfectly where it was or you'll end up with a crooked steering wheel. A little bit of lubricant can also go a long ways for trying to slide the new bushings into place. Also a major note there are two different part numbers depending on the width of the passenger side bracket, you will have to get under the car and measure it yourself before ordering or else you have a 50/50 chance of getting the wrong part even though the site may say this fits your car. The KSR202 is for the 30mm wide passenger side bracket, and the KSR200 is for the 20mm wide passenger side bracket. I'd also recommend hitting the back of the bolts with penetrating fluid while you are underneath measuring them to make life easier when doing the install.

Worked great on my 2004 Forester XT. My old steering rack bushings were worn out, causing the whole steering rack to shift around side to side when turning the wheel. These fixed that issue and made the steering feel great! Install was fairly easy as well.

These are a great upgrade. If you are replacing a steering rack, do yourself a favor and upgrade to these while the rack is out of the car. If you are just upgrading you still have to drop the rack out and fight the brackets to install. They give the steering a much tighter feeling over the OEM bushings. The bushings I ordered on a Monday morning and they were delivered Friday morning. Packaging was a resealable bag like candy would come in. The bushing I received are black not yellow as pictured. Color does not matter to me, they are installed and feel great. They fit was perfect and tight. I did add some bushing lube so I don't have noisy bushings down the road.

If you have an older Subaru, buy these.

I bought this for my 93 Subaru Legacy L and they were an exact fit.The results may not blow your mind right away, but if you take your car for a more spirited drive, like around a round'a'bout, then you will notice what an improvement has been made. Those complaining about the install need to do more research before they tackle this project. I read several Subaru forums and watched a video on Youtube that explained the process pretty well. Only thing that I was iffy about was having to 'gently' bend my powersteering lines that were in the way of the braces. Once I did that I had more room to work with under the car.Torque specs on the brace bolts for my car were 41 ftlbs. Also, please be sure to use some grease on ALL contact surfaces of the bushings. I used marine grease as it is designed to hold up to exposure to water, which being under the car it will be in contact with.Last side note is to not pay attention to the Whiteline fitment on the website. From what I read ALL USDM Subarus use this kit and NOT the KSR200 that they say fits correctly.Best of luck.
