I've been having a problem with getting WiFi into an outdoor cabin. I didn't want to fix any external antenna simply because of the look and additional work involved getting ethernet cables to the antenna from the switchgear.I must say this was surprisingly easy, I just plugged the transmitter into my switchgear in the main house. Then I went and sat down in the outbuilding, plugged in the receiver and it worked first time. Really it was that easy.Very happy, exactly what I wanted. 5*

Had issues with another well known brand as the connection was dropping randomly. Probably due to interference with lots of 2.4 Ghz devises. This device appears to operate at a much lower frequency range hence good wall / ceiling penetration . The speed may not be great but does work well for CCTV . My previous bridge did support 300Mbps however not of much use as the connection was unstable here the speed is apparently around 17Mbps however more than enough for cctv streaming. It appears to be OK even when it has around 2 ceilings and a wall( dry wall) in-between the transmitter and receiver

I was skeptical of the advertised range of HALOW, but I can say this product did deliver. I had the TX receiver on my WiFi gateway in my basement and was able to connect to it and do a video call deep in my woods at least 2 acres away. Very impressive.Why not 5 stars? Id like to have more control of the product and access to the device. The documentation also isnt great. Well worth the $60 price tag if you need to establish solid connectivity at range. I can attest to the plug and play functions.

Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. This kit works very well, I’ve been rather impressed with it actually. Function wise this has lots of uses, the main being to provide a network connection to an area where normal wifi does not reach or cannot penetrate. For testing I used this with one of my indoor IP cameras that is equipped with an Ethernet connection. In the three weeks I’ve been testing this it’s been pretty much rock solid. Streaming to my NVR continuously there has been zero interruptions in the timeline aside from the once weekly scheduled camera re-boot. Just to add, I placed this kit about as far apart as I can when it comes to layout of my home with multiple thick brick walls to penetrate, including a chimney breast and exterior brick wall.Speed tests were in line to what I expected, pings were around 22ms, both upload and download speeds were a solid 17/18Mbs down and up, its not mega fast by any means but it will give you a very usable and reliable network or internet connection somewhere your wifi cannot reach or cover – if you were to use these with a pair of directional antennas I suspect you’d massively increase the stated range you get with the supplied omni-directional antennas – this is a very impressive piece of kit.As far as I can tell you can’t configure these, they’re simply plug & play, there is a pairing process which you can use via a button located on the board inside the unit. These can run off a wide voltage range between 5v and 12v DC making them pretty much ideal for any application, home use with the included 5V UK mains power supplies or running from 12V on top of a mounting pole linking an IP CCTV camera.Build quality wise these are fine though in my opinion the case they’re installed in is an after thought. While it fits the boards fine one of mine is a very lose fit and the port and power input jacks don’t line up fully with the cut outs on the case, that being said it did not hinder use in any way. As for the units being waterproof or rain proof, in my opinion they’re not, the board is housed in a sealed case though the Ethernet and power jacks are exposed, moisture will get in and cause damage.In the box you get two sets of mounting hardware, two 5V UK (UKCA Marked) power supplies and two flat Ethernet cables. Highly recommended.
