I have an 8kg Parson Russell and a 1.8kg Papillon. This lead is really handy as it enables me to walk them in an open area where they can run, sniff and play. I suggest that you take it easy and not use the lead in busy areas until you're confident you can manage the dogs well enough to avoid obstacles. I currently use it in a large open space where there are a few obstacles so that I can train the dogs in responding to commands as they learn to negotiate their additional freedoms on the Wigzi lead. Do be very careful if you have dogs of mixed sizes, as I do. Take it slowly--you don't want to lose control of the lead and have one tearing off one way, dragging the other behind it. But such precautions aside (as well as those mentioned by the manufacturer), this is a great product. It doesn't tangle (the two leads are retracting and within a swivelling mechanism and its so easy to stop twisting from happening; in fact, the leads usually self-corrects). My dogs are independent and listen to me most of the time, but not always. I wouldn't get this lead if your dogs are strong and unruly. If they're well-behaved great. If not, you could find that they get you tangled up. Mine did initially, but I've learned how to manage the lead and I love using it.The gel handle is great. Very comfortable to grip. It's made walking them in open spaces lots of fun.

Problem Solved! It has been difficult for me to walk my two dogs alone with two leashes. This TOTALLY solved that problem. Even when one dog wrapped himself around me, all I had to do is lift the leash over my head and it untwisted! Every situation righted itself. My dogs don’t just walk forward, shoulder to shoulder. They go different directions sniffing here and there. The leash just let them go where they wanted, opposite directions, and I’m good with that! And a very comfy surprise is that the handle is a gel handle! I was worried this leash would be too heavy for my small dogs….one is 9lbs…the other 18lbs…That was not an issue.I had previously purchased a Y shaped dual head attachment for my other leash. It took me two minutes to realize it was worthless for us because my larger dog was literally dragging my smaller dog anywhere he went.This new leash is worth every cent of the $40.
