Na lang twijfelen toch overgegaan tot aankoop van de Wiim Ultra, en wat een prachtig apparaat!Het uiterlijk vind ik zelf mooi om te zien, en past goed bij de rest van mijn apparatuur. Bouwkwaliteit is zeer goed te noemen voor deze prijs, alles (behalve de volume) knop voelt als kwaliteit. Daarom snap ik ook totaal niet dat er gekozen is voor zo’n volumeknop, dit voelt aan als een .50 cent knopje beetje jammer. Het Display vind ik heel fijn, erg gaaf om je album cover erop te zien als je muziek aan het luisteren bent.De geluidskwaliteit is echt geweldig! Via Tidal Connect of de Wiim App is het allemaal makkelijk aan te sturen. Ook erg handig vind ik dat je de resolutie/kwaliteit van de gestreamde audio kan zien. De App is ook geweldig waar je van alles kan instellen, van meer bass tot elk andere aanpassing. Aangesloten op de Pre-Amp van mijn Denon receiver, en de muziek is nog veel meer tot leven gekomen dan ik dacht te kunnen. Voordeel is dat je CD speler, platenspeler ect direct op de Wiim kan aansluiten.Kortom ik ben er enorm blij mee, en kan hem alleen maar aanraden ❤️

ik was al enige tijd op zoek naar een vergelijkbaar apparaat ter vervanging van een oude Squeezebox Touch (SBT), maar eigenlijk geen goed alternatief gevonden totdat deze op de markt kwam. Veel goede recenties hebben geleid tot de aankoop. Het is in mijn geval een goede koop: ik gebruik 'm voor Spotify, Qobuz en dus ook als vervanger voor mijn SBT. Mooi compact apparaat met een schermpje waarop te zien is welk nummer speelt met een thumbnail van de hoes van het nummer. Bediening via een App (of in mijn geval Lyrion Music Server). Veel instelmogelijkheden. Zeker een aanrader als je een muziek-streamer zoekt met veel mogelijkheden, maar een bescheiden budget hebt.

Ok, there have been enough rave about this device. People are so super surprised what you get for the money, but I think It's about freaking time with the margins the audio industry was making. This device shows that. Is nobody of those ravers thinking, hm, maybe I've been paying 1000's too much all those years? Isn't It time to criticize that a bit?Anyway, first things first, this is a beautiful looking machine. That aluminum finishing gives It that Apple mini like look. It's nice.But, I get better sound results with the Pro Plus. Especially after running room correction. So don't think that the DAC will be necessarily better for you. It's more about different. This depends highly on your setup where the AK is more warm and has more dynamics and the ES is more transparent, but in my experience a bit flat and empty. It lacks the dynamics the AK delivers. My setup is already quite revealing, so the Ultra bends It too far to really enjoy It.Then there's another reason I wanted to try the Ultra, the sub out. It took me quite a while to get It right though. The room correction doesn't set anything in the subwoofer area. No crossover will be set, volume control or room correction filter. So you still need to tune quite a bit yourself. But It does have the convenience of the app to tune vs knobs on my sub to quickly try some things out.Also make sure the Wiim is the only one to control the volume with, so the bass and sound levels stay in sync. This isn't always possible depending on your situation. Otherwise make sure "Fixed volume" is turned on.It does mean you have more options for your amp, as you don't need sub out controls there. Unless you're able to connect high level with speaker cable, so It can apply the room correction properly. That last option gives the best result I've learned. Because everything goes through one channel with room correction properly, accounting for all frequencies. But I hope the Ultra some day comes with an update to actually include the sub within the room correction setup.It comes with some extra connectivity options you may need vs the pro plus. There's the touch screen which is nice, but will only add something If you use It on your office desk for instance. Otherwise It's really more a nice gimmick / look. Then the app Is probably more convenient. For volume control the knob response isn't very responsive.But looking at price and performance, the Pro plus just offers a better package imho. Unless you do need more clarity in your sound or one of those connectivity options of course. For me the sub out did make me sway in favor of the Ultra, but It kind of bothers me I can't have the perfect setup.Also consider that this DAC is good, but a $30 ~ $80 separate DAC probably better (Wiim's clocking isn't good at all). The Room correction is very good though and can be a life-saver. But It doesn't account for the sub (well). It's a solid product, but the pro plus in most cases better I think. But that depends on your situation.Also, the included RCA cables are of dissapointing quality for a serious brand like Wiim. They caused intereference in my situation. Replaced them with proper shielded ones (doesn't need to be expensive) and It's gone now.

Uitstekende streamer met veel mogelijkheden en een prima touchscreen, Buitengewoon goed en een uitstekende app. Geen top streamer maar wel een hele goede en dat voor die prijs.

Super product op dit moment 2024 waarschijnlijk de mooiste streamer/pre amp.Makkelijk menu, duidelijk en alles wat je als audio liefhebber nodig hebt.

Im happy with the streamer and the Wiim app.Wiim ultra sounds very good, but the bass is very deep and powerfull... The price is the readonable in the market. Highly Recommemded!

Klanglich bietet der WiiM Ultra eine angenehm stimmige Tonalität. Bei der räumlich plastischen Fokussierung auf Stimmen und einzelnen Instrumente stößt die verbaute Technik allerdings an ihre Grenzen. Das macht sich auch durch zurückhaltenden Auflösung und Durchzeichnung bemerkbar. Es tönt minimal hallig und diffus/schmeichelnd, auf angenehme Weise.Verstecken muss sich die Kiste nicht, auch hinter namhaften und vielfach teuren Streamern die ich zuvor hatte bzw. habe (Lumin, Elac, Atoll) zudem überzeugt die Anschlussvielfalt und die Bedienung mit der App.Die Raumeinmessung ist mit dem iPhone flott und einfach durchgemessen. Funktioniert recht passabel, im Bassbereich unter 70 hz musste ich einiges nachjustieren, liegt wohl am iPhone-Mikro. Die 10 möglichen Parameter sind danach alle belegt und zusätzliche Bereiche kann man dort dann nicht mehr einbeziehen, aber unterschiedlich anpassen und jeweils speichern.Da die automatische Messung mit einer bestimmten Lautstärke erfolgt, ist ggf. der Effekt bei leiserer Wiedergabe nicht mehr so optimal, kann aber entsprechend angepasst und zusätzlich gespeichert werden.Positiv ist auch die umfangreiche Möglichkeit verschiedene Einstellungen je Eingang zu definieren.Nach Kontakt mit dem Support, wurde die Fernbedienung ausgetauscht, die jetzt einwandfrei funktioniert.Die Zeitverzögerung vom optische Eingang (TV-Ton) ist nicht optimal, wenn man die TV-Soundbar parallel mit den Lautsprechern an der WiiM betreiben will. Die Audio-Synchronisierung (auch vom Fernseher!) könnte da besser sein. - Nachtrag: Habe statt Optical nun HDMI Arc mit dem TV verbunden, das funktioniert einwandfrei. Natürlich wird dann die integrierte TV Soundbar stummgeschaltet.Generell empfinde ich den WiiM Ultra als einen „langzeittauglichen“ Zuspieler, mit toller Ausstattung.Für ordentlich besseren Klang muss man deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen und erhält dann nicht unbedingt eine bessere Ausstattung und Bedienbarkeit.Es gibt sogar einen funktionierenden Support. Fragen und Anmerkungen können direkt aus der WiiM App via Smartphone geschildert werden. Der Support meldet sich per Mail zurück, auch auf deutsch.Wie das alles vom WiiM realisiert wird, zu diesem sensationellen Preis, ist einzigartig in der HiFi Welt.Fazit:Ich habe noch nie ein so gelungenes und gut tönendes HiFi-Gerät zu diesem Witz-Preis besessen.

Za tę cenę nie ma konkurencji. Bardzo dobra jakość dźwięku (chociażby recenzja na Audio Science Review), świetne wsparcie i forum produktu. Co chwilę wychodzi nowy firmware. U mnie chodzi jako końcówka Roon Ready i do tego podłączony mam jeszcze odtwarzacz CD po optyku a wyjście analogowe do wzmaka słuchawkowego a po usb do kolumn aktywnych.Wady? Te softwarowe rzeczy które może odbiegają od najlepszych w branży są konsekwentnie poprawiane. Co do budowy trochę lekkie to, to nieszczęsne pokrętło które drażni wszystkich (na szczęście prawie nie używam) oraz brak Apple Airplay co jest bardzo dziwne ale do przeżycia.Za stosunkowo niewielką kwotę genialny sprzęt. Nie jest to Rose który mnie kusił ale też parokrotnie tańszy. Brać!
