when you are marking queen, do not use any old paint. I saw a beginner using thin green paint and it ran all over the poor queens head, wings back and leg. The only thing to do was to off her quickly.The equipment was in good working order, but when someone thinks they know it all, they should listen to the voice of experience.It should be foolproof, a lot of research will have been done to achieve this quality of product.Just follow the instructions and enjoy the proper results it can produce.

This product makes it so easy to capture and mark a queen bee. Simple slide back the floor , carefully place the entrance I’ve the queen along with ant workers with her then slide the floor shut watching you don’t catch the queens legs. Slide the floor up to trap her in the slots other bees leave via the slots and it’s easy to secure and mark her. I love it

The slide can be a little stiff but I'm sure it will loosen in time I may stick a bit of silicon spray to lube it
