Easy to install, and holds well once it's installed, the platform seems pretty strong. Looks a bit unsightly once it really gets full of wires but it's better than it all on the floor in a huge pile

I have a glass desk, so ones that screw in are no good. The clamps can be fitted to most, but not to mine. The description says 1 – 5.3 cm surface thickness, and mine is just over 8 mm, so I had thought they would still work. But they are not stable when closed as far as they go.The top part of the clamp, that sits on top, is not as long or wide as with another set I have. Also the screw, knob and disk are a smaller size. This will likely not affect the use for wooden surfaces, though.Luckily, I intended these as a gift anyway, as I don't need two trays. The other one I have fits my desk, and they needed only make the threaded bit a few mm longer..The trays are attached to the bottom of the clamps with screws, so should be stable. They are strong, and a good size for extension leads.You get ties and adhesive cable clips. Some of these clips can be tight and stiff, so only take the thinnest cables. I have not tested these, though, so just pointing this out.These allow air to circulate, and easy access, but they do not protect from dust.I have not deducted any stars for the fitting issue, as it's according to information provided in the description. It just seem silly they'd not consider thinner surfaces.This is a Vine Voice review, but that has not changed my opinion and I only review items I would buy. These cable trays are really rather good, if your desk doesn't have one already. Besides getting the two trays and the mounting hardware, also provided are adhesive rubber clip things (I've used them for years and don't know the proper name) and velcro cable ties - basically a starter kit in cable taming.The clamps can expand to go on thick desks, around 60mm. I advise you to adjust the thickness of the clamps to roughly the size you need before you use them - my carpal tunnel wants you to learn from my mistake!The installation instruction sheet is ok but not really needed. It's hard to mess that up. That sheet also refers to holes on the top for optionally screwing to the desk for extra security, and screws supplied for that purpose - in reality there's neither hole nor screw, nor need for them really because the clamps hold perfectly well.So, these do their job well. The only thing I'd change would be to have locknuts instead of regular nuts, but that's not likely to be an issue for anyone unless they've got some serious vibration issues.

These cable management trays have been a game-changer for keeping my workspace tidy. The no-drill installation was easy, and the soft anti-scratch pads protected my desk. Can't rate this 6* even though it deserves it.Cable organisation is so much easier when stuff isn't hanging down.Highly recommended.
